What else did he have to do? He was out on injury and didn't have Alanna home. Having co-workers visit was a blessing to kill the boredom. It would have been easier to set things up if his friends weren't all on tour or battling their own injuries but that's where Alexa came in. Though he didn't make a habit of checking in with NXT, there were a few he liked to keep tabs on. The Diva was one from the group he liked. She was talented and played the parts she had well. Sure, he should have been tracking who was going to be his future opponents but she was much more fun to watch.
So now he was at the airport waiting for the fairy. Lambert was nice. People had seen him there often enough to know not to force phones in his face. There was a lot of love but a lot more respect from his hometown fans. The flights were checked before his phone was. There was still time to stop by Jamba Juice then go find her.
