As comforting as being the small one in a tiny/giant relationship is, imagining a reversed dynamic is just sooo,, ( ∩´͈ ᐜ `͈∩) sweet !! ♡♡
I wanna be the big squishy human caretaker to a smol metal warrior from space who needs somebody to look out for them cause earth is a giant deathworld
they're like the stray cat you wanna bring inside your house when it's raining outside and they look so miserable n cold, and ya just wanna wrap em up in a warm blanket
Smallformers AU is such a fun n cute concept that never fails to suckerpunch me in the feels
Humans are generally very aware of our sizes and strengths when it comes to handling things smaller and more delicate then us, and i feel like we would naturally be more careful and mindful of the bots' fragility, compared to how they typically treat n handle humans in canon.
ima go cuddle my shockwave plushie now ♡♡ (∗´ര ᎑ ര`∗)
it's been really cold here lately with the snowy weather, so yea a lot of these are cozy-coded ⟡ ݁₊ .☕
⸝⸝ making little clothes for them so they can be cozy. Transformers in striped scarves, big fuzzy coats n earmuffs for their finials ♡
⸝⸝ carrying them around in your pockets n hoodies, Rufus style. curled up in your jacket hood, relaxing against your neck
⸝⸝ so much self-care. hot baths in the sink, polishing and giving them a fresh coat of paint. Or just tracing along their plating with lil soft brushies just to relax them, like how we brush each other's hair or give back massages
⸝⸝ soft soft boops n kisses
⸝⸝ warm tea n energon on chilly mornings.
my kitty is gettin' up there in age, so I special prep her meals now,, and I like the thought of prepping a bot's energon for them. Getting creative with how you prep and serve their fuel with lil miniature tools, like in those cute videos of making mini foods for hamsters
⸝⸝ clingy hand cuddles. If you've ever had small animals, like rats, ya know what im talkin about
⸝⸝ making cozy beds for them. plush pillows, soft blankets, beanbags, wooly socks, big pet beds n cat trees. flying bots sumberging themselves in those plushie hammocks
⸝⸝ warming up a freezing bot with a space heater on your nightstand
⸝⸝ snuggles in bed, custioned against your soft n warm flesh. Never underestimate a good human snuggle. Us chubbier peeps would be so plush n cozy to just lounge on,,
⸝⸝ them feeling safe and unusually loved as you watch over them ♡
tbh,, I would be SO down for a new Transformers continuity where the bots are toy-size and stranded on Earth. hasbro get on it !!
Can't get over how cute n domestic a smallformers / stardew valley-esque AU could be ⋆˚✿˖°
Stardew is such a cozy vibe- a lovely mix of countryside life and whimsy fantasy. If there was a mod to replace the Junimos on your farm with lil smol robots, I would absolutely go feral for it (੭ˊᵕˋ)੭
Imagine this... ᯓ★
You inherit a farm from your late relative, off in a quaint countryside village. It sounds like a nice change to your otherwise monotonous, predictable city life.
It was peaceful, as was the small community that was just a stroll through the woods away from your homey abode.
All of the whimsical spectacles you slowly but surely encountered came as a bit of a surprise to you- from mages in the woods, monsters in the mines, and curious cryptids- but like any good explorer, you adapted.
You accepted the strange mysteries of this strange little town, learning to take things in stride and approach the unknown with an open mind.
So when peculiar signs of unidentifiable critters began appearing in and around your property, you stayed vigilant and curious, sensing another mystery right around the corner.
You find…
✿ Precise cuttings, not unlike a mouse hole, in the wood of your garden shed. Small supplies- batteries, nails, fishing tackles- all turn up missing.
✿ Creaking and scuttling in the barn rafters, but you can never find any signs of bats or other little nesting critters. The bits of food you leave tucked up in the hay go untouched.
✿ Some of the ore you would leave smelting overnight would go missing. You might've never noticed the insignificant misplaced ore if not for the sooty tracks littered around the base of your furnaces.
The only location that hasn't seen the effects of this new phenomenon was your own farmhouse. Whatever was out there hadn't yet found the courage to sneak inside.
And then...
There was something in the bushes in the woodland trail behind your house, rustling nosily enough to draw your attention away from the surrounding ambience.
Probably a squirriel, you think, and you are inclined to resume your roam through the forest, tool chest in hand and pack slung across your shoulder. But the persistent quaking of the shrubs pulled at your curiosity, and you inevitably approached. After all, since you moved out here in the countryside, you had a habit of exploring the uncharted, for better or for worse.
Tentatively prying apart the fronds and budded stems, you find...a little metal being, tangled up in the clutches of the bush.
The critter ceased its thrashing, frozen under the sudden exposure of the sunshine and your wide stare. Brambles were interwoven beneath its shiny plating, jutting thorns finding unfortunate slots to hapazardly suspend the critter. Its little legs hung helplessly, and you couldn't shake the imagery of a bug caught in a spider's web.
You reached into your trusty, weathered tool chest, pulling out a pair of sharp shears.
You've handled enough frightened animals to recognize the fretful trill that came from the little metal thing, and you hushed and cooed at it warmly. It seemed to settle under your reassurance, hanging limply from its thorny restraints.
You snipped pensively at the thick bramble canes and carefully uncoiled the metallic critter from its organic snare. It blinked up at you from the ground, the color of its eyes so vibrant and electric against the backdrop of forest hues.
You turned away, just for a moment, to put your shears away, and when you looked back again, the creature was gone, the undergrowth shuddering softly from its retreat into the wilds. ᯓ★
I think there's just so much fun potential to be had here with this Smallformers x Stardew Farmer idea!
As much as I like just regular ol humans in a vanilla earth setting, dabbling in the whimsical magicalness of stardew valley just adds the right amount of fantasy flair.
Earth is still a big deathworld- there's just magic and cryptids in it now to account for. What fun for our marooned bots.
Not me coming home in the middle of the night to my worried bot frens, disheveled and crispy, smelling like desert sand and gunpowder, with my ominiously glowing sword dripping in monster guts, and me being like,
"Look at all this iridium I found in the skull caverns!" ( ✿˶◠‿◠ ˶)
The bots looking at the absolute state of me,, (°⌓ °;)
Makes me wanna dive back into my stardew addiction and write as I play ♡♡ (∗´ര ᎑ ര`∗)
