Peter craned his neck to see over the crowd of people bustling into the tower that morning. He’d been tasked by Mr. Stark to greet the new intern and get him acquainted with the facilities at their agency. Peter was sort of excited, it was rare he got to work with any other hero interns, he usually only helped out with the science-y types, if he wasn’t on patrol. Plus apparently this guy had flown all the way over to New York from Japan which was just so cool.
Finally he managed to spot a mop of green hair in the crowd and hurried over, waving one arm wildly in the air in an attempt to be seen.
“Are you Izuku Midoriya?” He tripped awkwardly over the unfamiliar pronunciation, flushing pink with embarrassment. “I’m, uh, Peter Parker. I’m another intern here with Mr. Stark, I’ll be helping you get set up.”
“If you follow me, we’re just going to go through the security scanner and then I’ll show you where you can put your stuff. Mr. Stark almost never takes on interns so we basically have a whole floor to ourselves, which, y’know, is pretty cool. He even gives us a laboratory and everything, in case you want to make your own gear...” Was he rambling? He was rambling. He needed to stop rambling. Stop rambling right now Parker.
“Anyways,” he coughed awkwardly, leading Izuku through the security gate. “That was a lot- sorry, I’m just excited, do you need me to slow down?” Or shut up entirely?
