starting our (very brief) romance unit for a class about genre fiction in comics. everyone say hello to my gay smallsword fencers in 1600s france
#august draws#my ocs#alain bricout#(guy on the left)#lazare pelletier#(guy on the right)#fencing#smallsword#smallsword fencing#most of my fencing experience is in foil (training tool for smallsword; some differences in technique)#but last semester i actually got to learn a little smallsword for real and i completely fell in love with it :D#anyway. i dont think i can ramble coherently about these guys in the tags (yet)#but the gist of it is that alain has Vengeance In His Heart for a wrong that he thinks lazare perpetuated against him#and keeps insisting on public duels with lazare#he loses badly every time. lol#and theres gay shit going on naturally
