For Moon Landing Day: "Apollo," by Smart E's, which features period audio from President Kennedy, Mission Control, and the astronauts of Apollo 11 over that distinctive mid-90s beat.

this track came out the year I started high school and it made me feel so cool to listen to a remix like they did at raves even if it was the fucking sesame street theme song

Smart E's - Sesame's Treet [1992, Big Beat, Pyrotech Records, Suburban Base Records]
While The Prodigy's single for "Charly" is often considered the kicking-off point of techno which sampled children's shows, some recognition should be given to the Smart E's, who on this album float around among the various kinds of techno that would rise in popularity through the mid-'90s.
The title track, of course, samples Sesame Street, drawing vocal and instrumental building blocks from it and throwing electronic extensions on all of it. Other tracks sample moon landings, JFK, other rave songs, and more. While this was their only album, Smart E's' prescience in predicting what sorts of styles would grow to be big-time earns this album commendation, however silly it may be.
