Okay, I called a friend who knows like everything about computers and he told me how to fix it.
Apparently, even though I have the Mcafee virus protection thing, it still got the Smart HDD virus. It's one of those scare-viruses where it tries to hide all your documents, pictures, and icons in the start menu, and then tells you to buy this data retrieval thing. It's a big scam that just wants your money.
Anywho, he told me where to go to get help. I got it. Unhide all my documents. None of it was gone. The stupid virus just made it look like it. That's why, when I tried to restore from another point, it said it couldn't restore because it was already there.
Anywho, crisis averted. I don't think I actually had the full on virus because I didn't allow Smart HDD to complete the scan, and I didn't try to buy their stupid program. My computer seems to be working fine now...but I'll be looking at it closely for the next like..year.
