Working Methods

Smart Designs, Zurb & Me

During our research session this week we looked into the working methods and how they differ depending on the designer/artist and their own personal preferences of working. I have chosen to write about Smart Designs, a company we were shown in the session because their processes and development methods of ideas for products is similar to how I have worked so far during my previous projects through A Level and GCSE. I feel I work best when I have a set method of working, with a brief to start me off and then set stages that I should reach in order to develop my ideas.Another design company with a similar outlook that I have found is called Zurb. They have a set process which they will follow in order to get the best out of their ideas and to provide the best solution they possibly can. 

This is why I think I liked the working methods of the Smart Designs company and Zurb; they had set stages that they passed through before taking their best development of an idea and pursuing it only after they have explored different variations of their original design.
