The Smart Asthma App is used to control the Smart Peak Flow (SPF) metre, a small, self-monitoring digital peak expiratory flow metre (PEFM) that can record and save a user's peak flow measurement history, asthma symptoms and exacerbations, and their usage of SABA drugs. The patient's "digital journal," which can be shared with a healthcare professional as part of their asthma management plan, is created via the app.
