Give your character a general overview: name, age, things about their appearance not listed in their application.

My character is Rose from Tales of Zestiria. Her age isn’t known, but I assume her to be roughly 17. Things regarding her appearance may be found in my appearance section in my links, but ! For the sake of simplicity, there are a few key aspects of her outfit. Firstly, she has a bandana around her neck; I believe this to be a sentimental gift. Secondly, she has pockets on her sleeves & yes, there are items in it. They’re small gels just in case. Lastly, her outfit is cute & practical -- yes, both. That’s a crucial aspect. <3

Does your muse have any nicknames? Where do they come from? Do they like them?

Rose doesn’t have any nicknames only because it’s incredibly hard to make one for her, given that nicknames are supposed to shorten the person’s name. However, many refer to her as Brose in a silly context ! This is namely a fandom-given nickname, though, so it’s never been used in roleplay. Rose wouldn’t mind this nickname though.

Given how the game of Zestiria works, Rose is given a true name under the ancient tongue of Zestiria’s language. It’s Wilkis Wilk, which translates to Rose is Rose. Rose has protested this nickname to Sorey, the man who gave it to her, many times; but it cannot be changed & Rose submits herself to it. She still makes comments though. So do I.

How do they generally introduce themselves? Distant and aloof or warm and friendly? Any reason for this?

Rose is nothing if not extremely friendly, always willing to give a handshake or a grin when introducing herself. She’s used to giving her name freely in order to establish a connection with her clients, given that she’s a merchant. If she appears charming & nice, then more people will remember her & ask for her merchant guild. 

How do they feel about physical contact? Does it bother them or are they okay with it? Is there anyone special they prefer it from?

It really depends on the type of physical contact. Rose doesn’t mind handshakes or maybe someone grabbing her shoulders and pulling her in. However, hugs & things of closer proximity are a questionable topic. She might be more forgiving if it’s from a friend, but if it’s from a stranger, she will move away or slap their hand away - especially if it’s one of those surprises. Please don’t sneak up on the assassin :’) It will not end well.

Does your character have any habits? Are they conscious of these habits?

Not entirely a conscious action, Rose enjoys walking around with her hands behind her head. It’s just a comfortable position or gesture for her. She also likes to put her hands on her hips as well. 

What sort of home life did they have? Were they surrounded by family or worked just to get by? Did they stay in one place or travel often?

Rose is adopted from a very young age & traveled with a mercenary group called the Windriders. As such, she never has a consistent home --- if she felt comfortable in a location to consider it such, they often had to move shortly after. However Rose has an extremely loving family, even if they’re not blood-related. Always taking care of each other & tending to each other, Rose never feels like she’s lacking anything in terms of family. They’re all supportive of each other & act like any normal family anyways.

Are there any special belongings they have? Where did they get them? why are they important?

Rose probably isn’t the sentimental type, nor does it really say anything in canon that she has anything. She probably doesn’t have a lot of worn accessories anyways. However, I do headcanon that both her bandana + her swords were bought by her family. 

I headcanon that her bandana is such because it totally clashes with her outfit --- given how stylish Rose is otherwise, the bright color totally stands out from the rest of her attire. So I can’t imagine that she bought it; someone else probably did & now she wears it.

Her swords are probably too nice for Rose to splurge on herself. She probably thinks they were cool & her family bought them for her, even if they were pretty pricey.

What sort of clothes is your character most comfortable in? Do they usually wear these? If not, why?

The current clothes that Rose is wearing is the most comfortable & she always wears it as a result. They’re flexible enough for Rose to stretch & be agile in; they’re durable to withstand most conditions; they’re also stylish and cute for Rose. It’s a no-brainer that she would like her clothes, honestly. When she’s traveling around & needs to spruce up for clients, she has a fancier shirt she wears strictly for merchant business; it never gets worn otherwise. 

Do they know how to cook? Any specialties?

She used to be able to cook, but somehow, all of that ability’s deteriorated. Now she can only char things beyond recognition & she doesn’t know how it’s come to this.

What about other hobbies? What do they do to pass the time?

Kill people. Stalk people.

Just kidding ! Rose doesn’t really have any specific hobbies. She just tends to do whatever’s available to pass the time. When it’s traveling with friends, she’s normally talking to people & that makes the time pass by faster. If that’s not an option, she’ll explore or look around. If she’s really bored, she’ll start getting annoying. She’s not above throwing herself onto people or trying to scare them to alleviate her boredom. ( Note: this happens a lot when Sorey spends too much time in ruins. )

Happy Fourth of July, everyone! In celebration of this spirited occasion, we’ve complied some ask memes regarding fireworks, beaches, & general summer cheer to be sent to everyone. In addition, all characters will receive 5x [ Firecrackers ] & 5x [ Large Fireworks ]. They give small Strength & Magic buffs, as well as quickened HP & MP regeneration. Please enjoy them safely!
