The intention of this video is to take something rather dour and make it fun. A nice vintage educational film feel does just the trick.

I started my 3D project over again. I didn't like the direction it was going. This is a much better head anyway.
What happened was that I had learned so much so quickly that all of the parts started looking VERY different from each other, and each becoming more and more obsolete. The earlier pieces were extremely inefficient. This way now, I will have a better, streamlined model.
This is a big accomplishment for me. I am making a toy for my 3D modeling class, and I was having a VERy hard time with this head trying to get it right. Finally, I sat down for an hour or so looking for tutorials and I found a wonderful tutorial that reminded me just to keep it simple and refine it later — and to use a modifier to smooth it out. It's not perfect, but I'm a lot happier with this outcome than my first iteration of that abomination I tried to keep shaping into a head. Tutorial I referenced: Link
09.15.14 Our first project for 3D Modeling was to make a simple object. Since I already have 'some' knowledge of how Blender works, I decided to make a soda can that was hollow and open. We 3D printed our results at a 2-inch scale. The tabs were a little thin at this scale so they didn't completely print very well. It was a first good go though!
