apartment shenanigans pt.1: When the girls go to the appartment they’re just as impressed with the inside as they are the outside (its marvel!). They’re so impressed that mako takes the time to give a warning to mina NOT to damage the floor. But then of course mina is herself so she immediately damages the floor.
As far as the manga shows us this is the first time the girls have seen how actual non-senshi mina acts and they are flabergasted. All mina will show at this point is a scared “ohhh” but thats enough to throw usagi into her dramatics very loudly stating that v-chan damaged the marble. The real winner of this panel though is that usagi added the “wasn’t me!”, she will not be blamed for this idol or not.
Then right after mina flys to ami for the chance at forgiveness. Clutching the sword and bringing the tears the way only avoid-trouble-no-matter-what mina can. Ami is fortunately not the kind of person that needs convincing and gives her a free pass, she can easily get the floor fixed up in no time. Oh and course here is mako who express shock over her idol’s antics with the much more subtle “she’s surprisingly clumsy”. Mako give it some time and it won’t be a surprise anymore.

Minako having a sixth sense over her video game is the best random power yet because you know mina would show up to challenge anyone the moment they did better than her.
Apartment shenanigans pt.2: We then get to the part where ami gives them a freaking diamond to test on. Ami is so stuck on the scientific part of this that she doesn’t even consider that she’s testing on a diamond ring, something very valueable to regular people
Mina, oh my god, mina is holding the sword like that. She’s holding it likes its a cardboard sword and thats she using it to push a bug away, not break a diamond. This is the joy of cartoony antics.
And then the diamond breaks and while they all knew this could have happened mina acts like she’s in trouble again and pleads again with ami. The best part of all of this is ami’s reaction, because she does not care one bit. Apparently her moms own too many of those things so who cares if one breaks. With absolutely no input from her mom ami thought that this was perfectly fine. And then ami tries to justify it to everyone with science which is probably the most ami thing ever. If that sword can break a diamond then it must be super serious and so their justified in testing it out. I think the other girls are rubbing on to you ami.
I hope to say the same when im older
