I’ve been having some feelings lately ok and certain parts of fandom have been annoying me lately. So I needed a little catharsis and decided to just go on a vent spree.

@smiledesu yeah x'D. I can totally see Tommy grinning as Billy tries to justify what he just said to Teddy (blonde hair does look good with green. Besides, it's not the same green and the same blonde) And that's when Tommy dramatically starts singing "Bein' green" before being joined by Teddy who just shifts to his green self and Billy is left standing here, grumbling at his green skinned boyfriend and twin brother until they finish the song.

Moon Girl supposedly sells well in trades and is overall considered to be aimed at younger audiences so the lower sales figures are to be expected. Agree with the rest of it,tho.

Super Sons is one of the highest-selling comics at this moment, and the first issue that came out in February had 90,000 sales. If you don’t know what that is, it’s definitely aimed at younger audiences. It’s about Superboy and Robin. This isn’t about age. Kids still like comics. They usually prefer manga nowadays because it’s better written and looks nicer visually, but kids still do like comics.

To put their sales figures into perspective, the sales Moon Girl got on its first issue was 13,000. Just above what Hellcat was getting at the time.

Hellcat was cancelled recently, too, likely because of low sales, ignoring what Kate Leth may tell you. It was averaging around 8,000 units. 

Moon Girl currently has the sales units that Hellcat had. It’s likely going to get cancelled soon.

In addition to what I wrote in a comment, I'd advise against effectively crapping over the opinions of the people who took the time to answer your survey, mostly because I think I know what you're talking about with your example

I mean, as time has gone on, I’ve gotten more and more responses (currently at 144), so by this point I actually can do some interestin cross-referencing...

And also I got like five or six positive responses to the post in question. I’m not going to be “crapping all over” people’s opinions (because I am not, in fact, an asshole), but I’m definitely going to be pointing out trends that conflict with people’s perceptions.

On the one hand, yes, but on the other hand, Tumblr-spread surveys have really weird levels of response sometimes.
