I once had an apartment where the kitchen was so small you could stand in one place and touch everything. Stove/refrigerator on one side, sink on the other. 1 shelf for dishes and food storage. It was an old house divided into apartments. Mine had the original bathroom - biggest space in the whole apartment.

����������������As much as I like fall, it is always a little depressing to me. So many things dying all around. And the gray skies- ugh. Sending you pretty flowers, hugs and smiles.

Thank you! It’s not so much the change of seasons at the moment. Its a mixture of working 7 hours of overtime this week, lack of sleep, current events and lots of rain where I live. I just need to take better care of myself. I need to disconnect from a few things this weekend, sleep more and relax.

Who is Mr Emerson/Branson?

I saw this last night and I love the idea. The big question is - with Tom as George, who is cast as Mr. Emerson?

This is a great question, thanks, and it’s one I have thought about a lot!

As I wrote in this earlier post, coming up with the right way to introduce Tom’s father into this story is one of the trickier parts of this AU, I think.  He’s essential as the catalyst for Lucy realising/admitting her feelings for George in the original A Room with a View story, but of course there’s nothing to go on from Downton Abbey at all in terms of Tom’s father.

So I kept it simple and thought about Irish actors of the right sort of age as a starting point.  It wasn’t easy, but in the end I chose Brendan Gleeson for the role.  

He’s got enough of a look of Allen - similar colouring, anyway - and I could really imagine him as the honest, direct, middle class man who brings Sybil and Tom together in this story.  He also has a really funny side, which I remember from a small indie movie he did a while back - The Guard - which makes him a good fit to be Allen's dad, too. :)

Hope you like my choice!  Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Seattle finally gets a team. Kraken is too gimmicky for me. The the fans will be Krakheads, the arena the Krakhouse. I’ll get used to it but ugh. I like Sockeye but an ebook author has a copyright so that one will cause trouble She has said she is willing to work with them but they haven’t called her.

I wasn’t aware of the copywrite thing, that’s interesting. Still really holding out hope for sockeye...

I tried that too. Stopped sleeping. Not a good thing.

that’s actually happening to me too and i take sleeping meds but my sleep is still really messed up and i’m certain it’s related

I've been in more pain than normal the last few days. Pain and depression go hand in hand. No one is happy when they hurt like this. Vicious cycle.

Definitely. For me, it’s been a lack of sleep/waking up repeatedly during the night. That feeds right into my depression which then feeds into the lack of sleep and so on and so on. I’m going to take some otc sleeping meds tonight.
