Use this recipe to turn your corned beef into a delicious, smoky treat. The slow smoking process adds a delicious smokiness, and the spice rub brings out the meat's natural richness.
Ingredients: 1 whole corned beef brisket. 2 tablespoons black peppercorns, crushed. 2 tablespoons coriander seeds, crushed. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 tablespoon paprika. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1 teaspoon mustard powder. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: Soak the corned beef brisket in cold water for 1-2 hours to reduce saltiness. Pat dry with paper towels. In a bowl, mix crushed black peppercorns, crushed coriander seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, and mustard powder to create a spice rub. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the entire surface of the corned beef brisket. Prepare your smoker according to the manufacturer's instructions, adding wood chips for a smoky flavor. Preheat the smoker to 225F 107C. Place the seasoned corned beef brisket on the smoker rack. Smoke the corned beef brisket for approximately 5-6 hours or until it reaches an internal temperature of 200F 93C. Maintain a consistent temperature in the smoker throughout the cooking process. Once done, remove the smoked corned beef brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. Slice against the grain and serve. Enjoy your Smokey Corned Beef!
