Confident that Vanja looked as best as they possibly could before arriving at this ball, they slipped on the leather jacket that was gifted to them, quite partial to it. Regardless of whether it entirely went with the outfit or not, Vanja’s confidence while wearing it was sure to leave others not questioning it. Besides, it was only for travel, as the winter in the UK was still fairly cold. As soon as they were inside, it came off and was hung up, out of the way. Once they had arrived, it didn’t take all that long for Vanja to separate from Hesita, bless her. They had their own objectives for this dance, if they were going to be forced to stay. Might as well try to enjoy some part of it.
Being surrounded by couples was not the part of Valentine’s day that bothered Vanja. No, it was more so the attitude that people seemed to have around the holiday. As if it were some grand day to proclaim your undying love for whomever you’re with at the time, especially when that relationship could very well end the next day. Not that they were counting on anyone’s to, or wishing it, but it was a possibility.
Eyeing the crowd of people there, Vanja was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face that they were intrigued by. A half smile tugging at their lip, they sauntered over to them. “How fortunate it is to meet you here. Long time no see,” they greeted, the smile growing a bit more wide.
