世界保健機関が「たばこ対策」へ民間主導の財団が与える影響に警鐘

"WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Secretariat’s statement on the launch of the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World” WHO FCTC statement 19 September 2017

たばこの規制に関する世界保健機関枠組条約（WHO FCTC）はWHOの 元職員が参画しているスモークフリー・ワールド（Smoke-Free World）財団の設立はFCTCに全く関係がない。 また、民間（Philip Morris International: PMI（フィリップ モリス社にによる10億ドル規模の寄付））の援助の元運営されるスモークフリー・ワールド財団が行う、喫煙の代替措置としての電子タバコ（iQOS（アイコス）等）の普及等を目的とした調査研究の推進によって「喫煙が健康・社会・環境および経済に及ぼす悪影響から、現在および将来の世代を守ること」という目標の達成を妨げる。
