Hey There fellow adventurers! Greetings! so, first of all, why are there so many LARPs in the J/PA area? wow. second, whats LARPing like for you? We do it a bit different at wayfinder, because we're a summer camp, tailored for kids.

Oh gosh, we don't know! There are plenty of us but that just gives great players a chance to pick and decide what they like about all these different games and choose a game that fits their needs. There's bound to be rivalry with us all being so close but Seventh Kingdom staff is just happy to know that more people are joining our wonderful community everyday.

We LARP on an HP-based system. We run games every month and love new players. You can pre-register on our site and there's a comprehensive guide to creating a character so that when you're ready to play, we're ready to help! We have a variety of races, classes, kingdoms, and groups for our players to be apart of. Players are encouraged to make friends and a name for themselves in the dangerous town of Freehold. Along the way they meet friendly farmers, formidable elementals, terrifying demons and overall, just try to live peacefully with the tumultuous town. Wayfinder looks really interesting, by the way! That's not too far off for what we're like but players have to be at least 16 years old with a parents' signature to join. Thanks so much for your question!

so, you larp? whats it like? the place where i work is more tailored for kids.

I play two games, actually! They're both made by the same company, Project Omega.

The first is Seventh Kingdom IGE and it's really just an emotional and crazy thrill ride of a LARP. I've been playing for three years now and I've met the best friends, had the most amazing times and just, gah! I can never say enough good things about 7k. In terms of combat, I'd say it's a middle. We don't fight ALL the time but we're not just about roleplaying. There are epic battle sequences and cut-scenes and it's just all amazing.

The second is E.L.E. or Extinction Level Event. This one is still a little baby game. We just had our Beta-Test in October and we're getting ready for more dates in 2013. I'm a permanent NPC (Non-Playable Character) at this survival game and it actually runs more like scenes of a horror movie than a LARP. At a normal LARP, players will make choices and affect the world around them but at E.L.E., it's more like you have to rely on your wits to survive. They're both really awesome games and I hope I answered your questions!
