     The feline in front of him looked familiar but Knuckles couldn't place a name to the face. He KNEW they had met before, a long time ago, and felt a little bad about it but he gave the grey cat a half-smile in greeting anyway. He didn’t remember the other being a problem, or a threat so that was enough for the echidna to be hospitable at least. 

      “I’d say long time no see but it’s been a few too many years, I think.”

Happy Birthday Dymek!

The wolf got up early, before Dymek and got to work. She had heard it was his birthday so she was going to make it a good one!

She had been preparing for this day for over a week now, thanks to the help of the clan she was able to pull off the first part. Now to the second part. It took some time to prepare, which meant she had to get up early, but she didn’t mind!

After the next step was done it was almost morning... and time to start to wrap things up! So she got busy once again! 

Not long after the smell of something being cooked or baked made its way through the house and to the sleeping cat. 

When he got up, to his surprised, Lavender had made breakfast! Not just any breakfast though, she made berry pancakes! But there was also eggs and sausage and more fruit! There was enough for left overs even.

“Happy birthday sleepy head. Come on breakfast is already made!”

     Zone hopping wasn’t a hard thing to do, honestly it was pretty easy when one had a Warp Ring to help with the travel. What wasn’t easy was trying to visit people that they never really got a location for visits. At least Volt now understood why it had been such a pain to track him and his daughter down when they didn’t have a home.

     Stepping out into the grassy field, the toddler was more than happy to take this as a sign she was safe to have fun, flopping onto her back and proceeding to roll around in the grass. The squeals and giggles carrying through the air as Volt pulled his handheld from his belt to make sure they were in the right world before sending off a text asking the feline to meet them at the coordinates the device had gathered.

     “Daddy! Can I take some of da flowers home?” He glanced down at Harmony, who already had a few flowers in her fingers before giving a nod and smirking as she scampered further into the field to look for more variety.

          “i...wouldn’t eat that if i were you.”

          there was no mistaking the warning tone in amy’s voice as he looked down at the meh burger in the feline’s hands. after meeting yet again, she, sonic and dymek had decided to grab lunch before the to hedgehogs showed the feline some of the more peaceful and quiet parts of the island ( after their last adventure it was the least they could do ). it seemed like a good idea but it seemed they had visited on one of the restaurant’s  b a d  days.

           leaning in to look at the burger himself, sonic gave a half-hearted shrug. ❝ i dunno, ames. it looks fine to me. maybe a little more grey than usual but we’ve had worse here before. ❞

“Oh?” The stoat watched the black mist, eyes focused on it as it formed a spike. “It seems we’re quite similar...though my source is different.” He raised his own arm, the entirety of it turning black as it shifted into a dark spike of its own. “Forced upon me, but I’ve come to adore it, and my kin.”

“If done right, Gene manipulation can lead to fantastic results. And my father’s learned to be a bit more...tactful about it after what he did to me. Perhaps he can fix this lifespan problem of yours, or at least determine what race you are. I myself am spliced with an alien species, if you can call it a species anymore.”

While planning to get the house door unlock, she paused for a moment, gaze averting at the flowers pot. Strange that it’d been left there, after being delivered. Pondering briefly, Blaze decided of taking it inside the residence, since it seemed like Meena forgot. 

Sliding the doorway open and leaving it as such, the purple proceeded to grasp carefully the white pot. Albeit, an audible call caught her attention. Not lifting the thing yet, her peripheral vision diverted towards a mobian in grey pelt.

‘‘Oh, good start of the afternoon’’, since it was indeed the afternoon.

The first of two commissions for @smoking-mercenary, the first being a solid-line reference sheet for his OC, Dymek (as well as a new outfit he’ll be getting ;D)! Thank you for the commission!

Sure Sonic ran into a lot people, rarely did he actually RUN into them.

“Woah! Sorry about that! I wasn’t looking where I was going! Are you okay?”

Thankfully he wasn’t going very fast, but still! He ran right into them!
