SOFT CLOSING

hi everyone! this is never an easy announcement to make, but sanctuary-fm is closing for the foreseeable future. we sincerely apologize to our applicant in the inbox, along with anyone else who may have been considering applying. we cherish our world & lore for this group, but ultimately, as an admin who worries especially about providing a "fulfilling enough" writing/plotting experience, i didn't feel fair accepting into a group that would perhaps not feel that way anymore. i'd also like to apologize that we never truly got to kick our main plot off, and i really do hope that there's another chance to carry it out in the future.

to everyone who took the time to write with us, thank you for gracing us with your wonderful muses for as long as you did! it was a pleasure to write and chat with you all. : ) anyone who wishes to keep writing on their accounts is of course free to, though we will be making the blog private with the intent of revisiting our pages at some point.

we will see everyone whenever we can return to yeonghae, but until then, we wish everyone & their muses all the best. ♡

NOTICE --- hey all, just another update on some more strange behavior from tumblr. i've noticed that i haven't been getting notifications for the last few DMs we've been receiving (from several accounts), and i also haven't been seeing them marked with the "unread" symbol despite not opening them. if you send us a message and we don't answer for more than 2-3 days, even though there is still activity on the main, please do send us a little bump again so that the thread goes back to the top of our inbox and we might better see it! i've also noticed that the dashboard on the main has been "missing" some posts that i can see normally on my muse account. i'll be keeping an eye on this in case it's just specific accounts, but in the interest of avoiding the main getting sh*dowb*nned or worse, we're going to continue reusing our same pinned and waiting a little bit between answering multiple asks, until this gets better. if anyone else has been seeing the same behaviors (especially the second one with "missing" posts), let us know, it might help us rule out if the issue is the main itself or if it's just more tumblr difficulties. we're so sorry for the minor hiccups recently, and thank you as always for your patience!

NOTICE — our ad blog's going through a few quirks at the moment, so members, please bear with the main if you see a few experimental posts appear/disappear on the dash! hopefully it'll be back to normal soon.

just a quick note that we've updated our ORIGINS page to address the possibility of muses becoming tranquil per origin! more information on the rite itself can be found in our GLOSSARY - RITE OF TRANQUILITY. we'll also be listing tranquil muses separately per origin, where applicable; we've updated the format of the MASTERLIST to reflect this.

in short, anyone except darkspawn can undergo the rite of tranquility. the effects may vary slightly depending on the origin's magical capabilities, but undergoing this rite will always sever the muse's connection to the weave, making them unable to directly wield any magic (including inheriting it from darkspawn pacts) ... for now! without giving away too much, this will evolve along with the plot, but at the moment, the information we've listed is what is canonically known by the world and what is largely experienced by the tranquil.

if anyone in the future is interested in turning their muse tranquil or bringing a tranquil muse and would like to know the trajectory of this plot element in advance, you can send us a message and we'll pass on the details for planning purposes!

SANCTUARY IS NOW OPEN!

and with that, we are so excited to announce that we are officially open for plotting & interactions! please remember to follow everyone from our first round of acceptances, along with our bulletin blog, which is easiest done through our BLOGROLL.

as a reminder, intros are required and should be posted under #sn:intro before our first proper activity check, which will take place next week @ sunday, feb. 25, 8pm est. we are currently in the process of updating our pages, but the TRIGGERS page should be up to date, so make sure to check that updated list when posting as well. when sending out messages, we advise doing it in staggered periods / not more than 3-4 blogs in quick succession, since this seems to trigger sh*dowbans at times.

lastly, our opening event will be dropping at some point tonight or tomorrow; check back on the main or in the #sn:event tag for the details!

OPENING DATE & TASK ZERO

hi everyone! first off, we've been so excited to see everyone's muses so far, and i personally can't wait to write with & designing events for them all! this is an official announcement that we'll be officially opening on THURSDAY, feb. 15, at 6pm est! the submit box will be closing an hour before (5pm est) then to give the admins time to finalize everything, and we'll make another post once opening hour hits. thank you so much to everyone who has shown interested & applied so far, the admins have been so excited to get to develop our muses & this world together. : )

secondly, we're going to be posting an optional TASK ZERO ahead of opening day, so that anyone who wants to show off little previews of their muses ahead of time can do so! a formal post in the form of a requisition will be made at some point today, so keep an eye out on the @sanctuary-bulletin where it will be posted with full details.

PAGE UPDATE: ORIGINS

the DARKSPAWN section of the ORIGINS page has been updated! nothing conceptually has changed, we've just reworded some of the explanations on a darkspawn's cumulative lifespan, as well as their potential to live multiple "lives." this is for specific cases where a darkspawn manifests on the surface, are banished back to the abyss, then return to the surface via different means. for example, a riftspawn's rift is closed, banishing them to the abyss -> while in the abyss, they are summoned and then pacted, thus becoming a cursed one -> so on. if there is any confusion or any questions, please do let us know!

this is a quick update that we've added a page of GODS & RELIGIONS as an extension of the glossary, since we alluded to them in the quiz!

this page is simply miscellanous worldbuilding and doesn't need to be read, since it does not currently play into any major plot points / subplots other than the "SEEKERS OF TRUTH" section, which just provides a little more context on the cult that caused the first blight. feel free to incorporate any of them into your muse's background and to have your muse interpret them in various ways! we're purposely leaving details of each god/religion vague to encourage multiple interpretations.

and while we're on the topic, this is also a PSA that you're absolutely welcome to headcanon your own fictional gods/religions to suit your muse's needs!
