Press 'F' to Pay Respects

Morty couldn't help but let out an audible gasp upon seeing the sight before him. When he received word that the shrine in the Ilex Forest had been vandalized, the optimist in him hoped that some careless passerbys had merely discarded their trash improperly around the sacred spot. Indeed, he did find empty spray paint cans on the ground and a crude graffiti drawing decorating the side of the structure that resembled some type of feline Pokemon he didn't recognize.
He held his head in his hands in disbelief. Who on earth would have so much disrespect for public property, and a sacred one at that? Sadly, this wasn't the first time he had come across graffiti in similar places. In the past, there had been several instances of wayward teenagers leaving their mark on the Burned Tower in Ecruteak, and each time he felt compelled to clean up the mess himself. If memory served him correctly, Azalea Town wasn't much farther down the forest's path. Hopefully their PokeMart carried some basic cleaning supplies for him to use.
A couple of hours later, Morty returned to the forest with a bucket and supplies for scrubbing the paint away. Since he had no way to hook up a hose nearby, he was counting on the help from his Jellicent to spray the shrine with his Water Spout move. He hoped this wouldn't take all of his afternoon, though he didn't plan on leaving until the job was finished.
Noticing activity in the direction of the shrine, Morty stood quietly in the path to observe. Another man seemed to be visiting the shrine, looking closely at the graffiti.
"Hey! You there!" He called to the stranger in vexation. Breaking his often maintained poise, Morty found himself running towards the stranger to interrogate him. "Were you the one who did this?"
