Villain Coded cast are now in the (Smile For Me) Habitat. What are their problems, and how does Flower Kid resolve them?

this is a fun one to think about because they all got Problems(TM) but obviously most of the Habitat denizens got like. slightly silly versions of Problems(TM) for the most part. I think Buck's problem is that he's going stir crazy with no cars or Mechanics to futz with in the Habitat, so Flower Kid has to either break some mechanicals to bring to him or build some facsimile thereof that he can mess around with. Minnie's probably like a combo of all three of the younger kiddos in the habitat - she wants to get in some trouble, she wants a target to terrorize, and she wants to look sick as fuck doing it, so Flower Kid has to kinda put together a baby supervillain situation for her. And Davey... well, honestly, in this scenario Davey's probably m[i am wrestled offstage.]

I just want you to know what a delight it is to see you discovering Great God Grove, and King in particular. She really is extremely good, as is the entire cast of the game.

We just binged the entire game today, and goodness gracious are you right. What a delightful, disgustingly (positive) charming cast of characters. I don't think I hated anyone.

King in particular is an amazing character, obviously, and in most games I might roll my eyes at them giving a butch lipstick and eyelashes, but considering so many men had that too? Yeah I don't care.

Also, Louie Zong is our favorite musician ever, and we had NO idea he made the OST until the credits. What a beautiful surprise!

This is definitely one of our favorite games now.

Not really afraid *of* bugs, but whenever I have to move a house centipede, I'm absolutely terrified of accidentally crushing it. They're so delicate, and active/easily alarmed. Any advice?

Herd them into a container! Put it down a bit in front of them and then use your hands or a towel to urge them into it. Then pop on the lid or a put a piece of paper over the top. Or use the tried-and-true cup and paper method if you think you can place the cup over them without pinching legs. Worst case scenario, though, if you happen to injure a couple legs trying to catch them, they can grow them back - assuming they have more molts left in their lifetime :)

Villain coded trio have to make gifts for each other using only what's lying around the house/junkyard already. Who's making what for who? Who does pretty well? Is anyone ending this scenario sad and covered in glitter glue/machine oil/both?

Davey starts working on something for Minnie almost IMMEDIATELY (probably some kind of upgrade or useful add-on for something she already uses, like her skates or camera or the rat habitat or whatever). Buck pretends he's not participating, is convinced to help Davey with almost no effort on Davey's part; it quickly becomes clear that he was thinking really fucking hard about this and already has a ton of ideas. They get so invested in this gift and finishing it to the absolute best of their ability that they completely forget they were supposed to make anything for each other. Gift to each other ends up being "a few quick tune-ups to the car so they can come up with some thinly-veiled excuse to take a drive out into the hills and make out sloppy style in the backseat".

meanwhile, Minnie fails to register at first that "let's make gifts for each other" means she, as Child, does in fact have to at least Attempt to make something for her uncles. panics, attempts something overambitious that she does not have the skillset for and ends up way over her head, beats herself up about it, finally goes for what she thinks is the coward's way out of "pulls some strings to get some of her photos of them printed and puts them in a ramshackle homemade photo book or something"; they absolutely adore it and she learns a valuable lesson about the power of a truly heartfelt gift (slash a lesson about how sad and easily impressed Buck and Davey are).

Realized I should have made this an ask, not a reply! For Forklift Certified: How’s she taking the Splatoween festival? For the Villain-Coded trio: Halloween costumes?

Forklift Certified: I think as soon as everything started wearing costumes and flashing lights and such she pulled the classic cephalopod maneuver of Cram Self Into The Smallest Possible Space And Wait For It To Be Over. She's So Scared. I'm realizing this is probably her reaction to most/all Splatfests but like especially this one. there's Ghosts in this one

I would like to hear thoughts about Forklift Certified. (Did she ever get an actual name? Even if she did, she will always be Forklift Certified in my heart.)

oh my god I can't believe this was buried in my inbox for MONTHS I'm so sorry it took me til now to see it!! Forklift Certified did indeed get a name (Sakaki!) but I have to be real I think in all her like, paperwork and IDs and such on the surface she's Forklift Certified forever. She didn't speak surface Inkling well enough to give her name properly and they put "Forklift Certified" on everything based on her answer and like. SURELY if she goes back to change it they will SUSPECT HER and EXPLODE HER WITH BEAMS or SOMETHING. side note: Forklift Certified is so paranoid and scared all the time with absolutely zero basis for this. every day she is going around like

Sorry, let's try that again. I think they want you to tag for triggering content, since people affected by those phrases (including ace spectrum folks) see your posts. I don't think that's unreasonable.

That wasn’t what they were saying. They were saying I was telling people it was ok to say homophobic things to any queer person they happened to dislike. Which was obviously not what I was doing.
