I am thankful for these lands I swore to defend, the freedom to travel across them at my own will, and the transition from rifle to camera to take these memories with me in a way I can one day show my children. Not every soldier receives this privilege upon return from the battlefield. Not every soldier has returned. Honor them today. This was the day we set our arms aside and celebrated the company of those we share the land with. We don't have a whole lot to complain about.
