To be honest, when I, as a nine year old, read the Harry Potter books, I hated Snape. When i was 12 years old, I watched the last movie in the theatres and still did not like him. When I got older, I started to understand the complexity of this man's story more and more, I started to love him. I noticed that I've got so many similarities, good and bad ones, and that I really wished he found peace at the end. When he died, he did not even try to save himself. His task was over and so he didn't see a point of living anymore. This is very sad, but I don't want to remember the sad things about him. Let's remember the good things! Severus was a very intelligent wizard and a very powerful one. It's sad that he didn't find a new love after Lily, but it's good to know that his heart still burned in love for his potions. It doesn't matter that many people hate him, because they don't understand the reasons for his bitterness, I will defend him as my hero and I will remember him like that.
