Your headcanons are the best! ^^ So fluffy and cuddly and heart-warming, just the way I like them. Can I ask for part 2 please? Oh, and do they have children?

When Snape says Harry's full name he doesn't say Harry's middle name. Because just like Harry isn't Lilly, he isn't James either, he is himself and Snape doesn't want anyone to mix up Harry and his parents.

Snape met the Durselys only once. It ended badly. The occlumency lessons have let him see parts of Harry's childhood after all.

When Harry is mad at Snape he just starts to ignore him. It never takes long until Snape apologizes to him after that.

Harry is good at baking. He bakes a birthday cake for Snape every year and Snape is surprised every year because he keeps forgetting his own birthday.

Arthur Weasly attampted to give Snape a shovel talk but Snape found it too weak. He was more satisfied with Molly's more threatening one.

When Snape's students have a particularly hard time in his classes they mention Harry, which makes Snape's mood way better and then he will go easier on them.

In general he has become a better teacher and he occasionally helps the children of Ron and Hermione with their homework.

He's a pretty cool uncle and surprisingly good at babysitting.

Still he and Harry don't want kids since they have no idea how to raise kids. Their own childhoods have been hard and they don't want their children to have a troublesome childhood because their parents didn't know how to care for them.

But if they had kids, they would make super sure to make them feel loved.

Any snarry headcanons my dearest bat? just general snarry stuff

I'm not overly into Snarry, but I have a few from one au I wrote ten billion years ago (time travel, hope you don't mind).

Sev has to sleep with the door locked. Harry has to sleep with it open.

They both overall prefer cats, and Harry adopted a cat from his local shelter for Severus. He was a Christmas present.

Hes a bit grumpy, but he's good enough for Sev. He does have to go home with Harry over the holidays however.

Severus hates sleeping on the edge of the bed, and Harry cant cope sleeping next to the wall.

They both have some confinement issues they need to work out

Harry and Sevs first date was by the shrieking shack, and Harry had spilled Remus' secret. It was a huge "fuck you" to them.

Harry helps keep various friends away from the "dark side", including their underclassman, Regulus.

Harry 100% beats up the marauders single handedly.

They save the world together, get married and own a little cottage with ten billion cats.

They live happily ever after!

To the follow up on oblivious Snape anon: When Sev asks Harry what they are, Harry just laughs and takes out a pensive. 'I had a running bet with Ron about whether or not you remembered' Turns out early into fuckbuddy phase, they end up in Vegas and get married while Sev is hammered. Harry, sober, actually loves the idea of being married to him and assumes/hopes he remembers. All anniversaries are planned by Harry and he just never mentions why the day is special.

19. What’s your favorite character headcanon? <333

My favourite character headcanon is ‘Snape Lives and Make it Snarry.’ I have read so many different iterations of Snape living, from the classic tropes of the bezoar and anti-venom to his body being discovered still breathing and Harry visiting him in hospital while he’s like EXCUSE ME, did you just leave me to die?? How inconsiderate of you, Potter. My favourite headcanon though is Snape going missing for a while and although Harry is sure he is dead, nobody ever finds his body. More under the cut.

It would be unsafe for Snape after the war, as both the Ministry and any remaining Death Eaters would be distrustful of his true allegiances. In the aftermath of the war, Harry advocates for Snape and his role as a spy in a way which would make it possible for Snape to return without facing a spell in Azkaban. Then over time, Harry starts thinking about Snape. He can’t get the niggling sense that he is alive somewhere out of his mind, and he becomes determined to track him down, ostensibly because he wants to thank him, but secretly because he wants to thank him (a-hem). 

Harry turns up on Snape’s doorstep out of the blue one day and Snape is like, bugger off, Potter, but Harry is persistent, Snape pretends to be annoyed but is irritatingly charmed by the whole thing, they build a tacit understanding, leading to tentative friendship (not that Severus would ever describe it as such, are you mad?) but there is always this delicious UST crackling beneath the surface. One day, bold as brass, Harry decides to make his move, it’s awkward and endearing, and so utterly open and warm, Severus is blindsided by the whole thing (although not that blindsided, he’s not an idiot, thank you very much) and it all gets a bit NC-17 from there, Snape integrates back into the wizarding world, Harry finally feels things slotting into place in his life after years of trying to find out where he fits in the post-war world, and it’s like the sun coming up slowly after a very long night.

13. When do they realise they should get together?

It takes Harry by surprise, when he least expects it. Somewhere between our new celebrity and visiting Snape in St Mungo’s as he recovers from Nagini’s bite, Harry starts to think of Snape differently. It makes him panic at first. He doesn’t expect to find the dry humour beneath Snape’s snark appealing in the slightest, and he definitely doesn’t expect to wake up sweating after dreams of a shadowy figure doing all kinds of brilliant, filthy things to him. After he gets over the initial shock of having sex dreams about Snape - which is frankly more surprising than the Snape being a man part - Harry keeps up his visits. Even when Snape says bugger off, Potter and allow me to die in peace he continues to visit with gifts. He brings flowers (I’m not a teenage witch, Potter. If you must bring gifts I suggest something useful like a murtlap tentacle), chocolates, muffins and eventually smuggles in some scotch which is the only gift that actually goes down well. When Snape is fully recovered, Harry makes a point of turning up at Snape’s on occasion, asking him for a pint after work at the Ministry and finally, finally when he turns up with a bottle of wine and a jar of murtlap tentacles, Snape looks down his nose at Harry and arches an eyebrow. Are you attempting to romance me, Potter? The answer to that is a very enthusiastic, yes and about two seconds later, Snape’s kissing him hard, calling him a foolish boy and nothing is ever the same again.

24. Where do they first have sex?

In Snape’s room that night of the first kiss. It’s weird, being in Snape’s room. There are books on the bedside cabinet, reading glasses Harry didn’t know Snape used and it is plain, neat and tidy. Harry feels a bit like he’s intruding and he’s also nervous because he hasn’t actually done it before. He’s been too busy fighting Voldemort and choosing muffin selections for Snape to have sex. His heart is nearly beating out of his chest, but the thing about Snape that a lot of people don’t know is that he knows how to to be kind. Particularly when it comes to this, with Harry looking well-kissed, wide-eyed, hair askew and clearly preparing to dive right in like a typical Gryffindor. Because Snape knows what he’s doing and Harry is a quick learner, it’s good. Brilliant. So good that about half an hour after they finish Harry wants to go again and Snape calls him an insatiable brat but is otherwise all too happy to oblige. They have coffee, toast and marmalade for breakfast. Severus asks Harry the quidditch question he’s been missing from his crossword and Harry talks to Severus about how to destroy a cursed object they found in the Lestranges house. When they kiss, Harry’s fingers are sticky with marmalade and Severus can’t get him back into bed quickly enough. Nights together and breakfast in the morning quickly becomes their favourite routine.

2. Who is the most insecure and what makes them feel better? 

Both Severus and Harry have a lot of issues, a lot of them having born from their not so good childhoods and having experienced neglect in their early years (I’d say even abuse but it’s not exactly confirmed by canon). 

Severus’ issues are more obvious. He doesn’t like to show his body, he knows how unattractive his beak of a nose, greasy hair and crooked yellow teeth are. Having worked for two insane masters for almost 2 decades and teaching ungrateful brats for just as long didn’t exactly give him time to develop a beauty routine or buy a gym membership where he goes to get swole every other day. He’s a man in his 40′s who’s lived a horrible life, depressed and bitter through most of it, and it shows in the bags under his eyes and the way his body is too bony in some places and soft in others. Whatever muscle he might’ve had back when he still had to duel and fight for his life also went away during the time he was recovering from Nagini’s bite. Severus knows that both his body and personality are unappealing and Harry trying to convince him that he does find him attractive only ends up with Severus’ sneering and snarling because he’s convinced Harry is lying to him. Harry takes it upon himself to worship every inch of Severus whenever the man lets him (he can never resist Harry for long, especially since Harry’s so persistent in showing his love for Severus. Severus is also starving for it, likes it more than he can bear to admit). 

He lets out embarrassing whines and moans whenever Harry takes his time kissing the overwhelming amount of scars on his body, as if his soft lips and warm tongue had the ability to heal those scars. He cannot heal him physically, obviously, but Harry’s determination and drive to show Severus he’s worthy of love and affection like every other human being heals a broken part of Severus he always tried to bury under anger and sarcasm. 

Harry’s less obvious with his insecurities. He is considered objectively attractive, with James’ dark messy hair and handsome face and Lily’s emerald eyes. He’s physically active so his lean form and well formed muscles add to the appealing face. Harry however never considered himself to be particularly handsome, his features ruined by the ugly scar on his forehead and his body having a fair share as well. The ‘I must not tell lies’ scar on his hand, the locket-shaped scar on his chest, and many more that he obtained during the war. Harry would often try to hide them, cover it up with his hands, but Severus would only take them away. He would tell Harry to never hide his scars in shame, unless he wants Severus to do the same. Harry quickly gives in after that because he loves Severus’ body and he doesn’t want Severus to take that away from him, ever.

28. Why do they get jealous?

It’s not really question of why they get jealous, it’s not like such irrational feelings could have a proper explanation. It’s more about what situations bring out the side of them that is possessive and will behave like a pouty child because they can’t get what they want. 

Harry and Severus have always been incredibly jealous. They both have a tendency to want and want but never have. They’re also so, so bad with dealing with these feelings so it often blows up in their face. Severus often feels like he’s not good enough for Harry - he’s too old, too broken, too fucked up etc. He thinks Harry deserves better, but Severus is also a selfish man, and once Harry gives his vow to always be his, Severus does not take it lightly. He gets used to people fawning over Harry, it starts to annoy him less after time goes on. But sometimes there’s still some young twink batting his eyelashes at Harry and trying to slip him his number, and Severus starts seething until Harry reassures him that no one could ever hold his interest like he does. Severus doesn’t hesitate to claim him, often marking every inch of Harry’s body (Harry loves it). 

Harry’s jealousy comes out when he sees people being a bit too friendly with Snape. Most people were neutral after war, some still make plans to murder Severus, but there are a fair few who romanticize his role and so start to admire him. A former student putting her hand on Severus’ arm, telling him how brave she thought he was and how thankful he was for what he did had Harry seeing red because she will never know him, will never understand what he did and what he went through, not like he does. Harry had always been incredibly possessive over those he felt romantic feelings for, and Snape was no exception.

They of course do get better with being less insane as they get more comfortable in their relationship and their trust grows so they won’t let feelings of inadequacy plague them (as often). They learn to control themselves and deal with their feelings more rationally, especially with one as dangerous and explosive as jealousy. But neither of them can ever truly get rid of their possessive streak because that’s just who they are, and it makes both of them feel more wanted when other makes it clear that he’s mine.

23. Snarry ~

23. Where is their favourite place to be together?

Hogwarts had always been a home for both of them, but after war they both struggled to find peace and happiness in that place, considering what they’d seen and what horrible things they lived through there. Then there’s Grimmauld place where they lived for a while after war, Snape recovering and Harry going through his Auror training. But that place also held some bad memories that neither could ignore, and so they struggled to call it a “home”. 

Eventually Harry did buy a house one that would be big enough for them but not too big so it would feel like they were roommates instead of a married couple. Severus had his own space, his own Potions lab where Harry rarely set foot into (it wasn’t like he was not allowed to, it was just Severus’ workspace and Harry’s more than happy to let him do his thing there), they had a nice little library with a view to their back garden where Harry spent most of his time on the days he didn’t have to go to work (he loved the garden and he loved taking care of it). Their home was their favourite place to be together, because it was made by them, molded into a perfect space over the years of living together. But their favourite place to be together, in each other’s space, close enough for their heartbeats to settle into one rhythm, was their living room couch. That couch had seen many things but it was the one they tumbled on after Harry came from work and Severus came from his lab. They either watched stupid muggle telly on that couch, or Severus would read to Harry while Harry drifted in and out of consciousness, tired body and mind lulled into sleep by Severus’ soft voice. Or they just talked, about nothing and everything, or cuddled in silence, wanting to just be there with each other without the need to fill the space with words.

They were both too old to fall asleep on that couch so they eventually move to the bedroom, but they always meet on the couch. On that couch they let go of the stress of work and their everyday worries and just enjoy the physical feel and presence of one another.
