Quick Announcement: There will be NO CHAPTER NEXT WEEK!!! (Sorry to be the bearer of bad news… ^^;)
So this chapter begins with Sinbad being presented the opportunity to accompany King Rashid to the Parthevian Empire on official business. Sinbad is shocked at his proposal, but King Rashid makes sure to repeat that he would only be accompanying him as one of his escorts and therefore would probably not have any opportunity to say anything. But, if Sinbad were to agree to these conditions, then he would try to have things arranged within a couple of days.
The scene then changes, as Ja’far is upset after having learned about Sinbad’s upcoming journey. Sinbad tells him that he will be leaving the following morning and will leave the company in Ja’far’s hands. But Ja’far objects, saying that it’s too soon and he’s worried about him going alone. He then asks what they would do if something were to happen to him. Sinbad replies that because he is going as one of the king’s escorts, he can’t take anyone with him. He also tells Ja’far not to worry too much, because he won’t be doing anything weird out of consideration for the king. He then tells Ja’far that this is actually a good opportunity, as he had been wanting to check out Parthevia’s current condition. And this way, he would be able to see firsthand whether or not these “political purges” that they had heard about were really occurring or not. Ja’far begins to argue against him but is cut off by Judal, who has entered the room along with Celendine and has overheard the discussion. He is amused that Sinbad will be going to Parthevia just as he said he would and says that if they were curious about what he had told them, then they should have said so from the start. But Ja’far argues that this has nothing to do with them trusting him. However, Judal only again confirms that Sinbad IS going after all and tells Ja’far (freckles) not to try hiding it, to which Ja’far yells at him to stop calling him “freckles”.
As this is going on, both Sharrkan and Masrur are also listening in. Sharrkan is sad that Sinbad will be leaving again and mentions that he’ll be lonely without him. Masrur then responds saying that that’s because he (“senpai”) doesn’t have any friends. Sharrkan tells him to shut up, hits him over the head and tells him that it’s not his fault since he had never interacted with kids his age before, and has no idea how. He then turns his attention back to the room and says that he’s actually scared of Judal, since he has no idea what he’s thinking.
We then switch scenes back to what’s happening inside the room. As Ja’far and Judal continue to fight with each other, Celendine addresses Sinbad about his upcoming trip to Parthevia. Sinbad quickly picks up on what she might be worried about and assures her that he is only going to visit and will be sure to not say anything about her and the others. But Celendine tells him that that’s not what she’s worried about and tells him to be careful, reminding him that Parthevia is where “that man” is. She reminds him what a terrifying man he is and tells Sinbad to stay away from him, to which he agrees. She then says that she has one more request. No matter what it is, she would like him to bring back information on what happened to her little brother.
The next day, we see Sinbad bidding farewell to his friends and then clothing himself in Balbadd’s royal escort attire. As he sails towards his destination, he is slightly frustrated at himself for returning to Parthevia in this way. He then reminisces about his hometown and the country that he was once trying to save. After some time, the vessel arrives and Sinbad steps foot in his home country once again. He is asked how it feels being back in his home country and he replies saying that he’s not really sure, but that it does feel very nostalgic. King Rashid then turns to Sinbad and tells him that he is still a wanted man in this country and that he should not do anything that would draw attention to him and reminds him to not forget that he is his escort on this trip. Sinbad says that he understands and just then, the group is suddenly welcomed by the King of Parthevia himself, Barbarossa!!
Well, after this week’s chapter of Magi, this was like a breath of fresh air. T__T Not too much happened, but it was still a very cute chapter. Especially those parts with Judal/Ja’far and Sharrkan/Masrur!! And I really loved Sinbad’s cute Balbadd outfit at the end. He looks so cute with his hair up like that~! @___@
So, last week marked the end of those “slightly erotic” illustrations. So please enjoy this comic instead! :3
Sinbad – Starting today we will be posting 4 frame comics with each chapter!
Celendine – Honestly, what have you been making us girls do this whole time.
Pipirika – Huh? But I actually had fun!
Ja’far – It’s not enough…
Ja’far – This is bad, we don’t have nearly enough. At this rate, this month we’ll run a deficit… if we don’t compensate somehow…
Ja’far – Sin! For the sake of the company, please strip naked, too!!
Sinbad – No way~ it’s gotten remarkably chilly lately.
Mistoras – Heh heh… Well then, I guess I’ll just have to help you ou-
