The new SnB chapters really hurt to read because I can clearly see how Sinbad blindly trusts Barbarossa, choosing to overlook his many glaring faults simply because Barbs's ideals and actions help Sinbad validate his own sense of righteousness. He chooses to ignore that he is being manipulated by Barbarossa, because as he said in this latest chapter, he chose Barbarossa. I think deep down (like when he heard about Barbs's human experiments) he knows he can't trust Barbarossa, but he wants to trust him more than he knows he can't.

Sinbad no Bouken 142 RAW + a Summary!

Here are the raws for Sinbad no Bouken 142! I expected Barbs to react like this… he’s just too smooth >>; And, looks like we’re in for a time skip!? :O

Just a reminder, to anyone who follows me and enjoys these raws/summaries, parts of or even all of these summaries could be completely wrong, so be advised as you read them as I am by no means a professional translator!

This chapter begins with both Sinbad and Barbarossa seated across from each other, to have a discussion. Barbarossa wastes no time in, once again, asking Sinbad to explain the situation. Drakon thinks to himself how the situation is bad and Ja’far thinks how Barbarossa might start to distrust them if Sinbad gives the wrong answer. Then, their relationship with Barbarossa would worsen and, worst case scenario, they wouldn’t be able to create their country. Barbarossa tells them that he had known from long before, that their company had many different people in it, such as former slave children. He says he didn’t speak out about their employment tactics before; however, since their dealing with fugitives now, it’s a different matter. He informs Sinbad that Drakon has an arrest warrant for having caused disorder in Parthevia’s royal palace and abducting the princess, and tells him that he’s an extreme criminal! He tells Sinbad that Drakon is an enemy of Parthevia, so to speak, and asks him if he didn’t think it obvious that he should report to him about this matter. Sinbad replies that Barbarossa’s mistaken. Sinbad tells him that that incident happened when Barbarossa was still in the military and served in the royal palace. He reminds him that now, he’s the leader of the independent national people’s party. He goes on to tell him that there’s no longer any reason for him, who conducts politics separate from the royal palace, to pursue a fugitive from the time of the former royal family and tells him that he’s the one who said this first. He tells Barbarossa that he was certainly mistaken for not telling him sooner, but informs him that Drakon is already a member of his company and that, even if he may be an extreme criminal, if he’s a talented person, he will take him in as a friend. Finally, he tells Barbarossa that this is his and Sindria company’s policy.

Upon hearing Sinbad’s response, everyone anxiously awaits how Barbarossa will react. After a few moments, he seems to agree with him on his stance and, with a huge smile, tells him that he has the same way of thinking. So, there’s no way he was thinking about going off to capture him again. Sinbad is dumbfounded by this response and, upon seeing his reaction, Barbarossa asks if he was actually being precautious just now. He says that’s regrettable, and once again assures him that there’s no way he’d be concerned with something like that these days. And besides, he says he knew their trends from the beginning. He knew that the “Sham Lash traitors” were acting alongside him, as well as the fact that his younger brother had taken princess Celendine there, and was being hidden. He says he was curious when Sinbad would tell him and waited for it, but that it seems it was one-sided. He tells him that it was a good opportunity, so he gave him this chance.

Ja’far is shocked to hear that Barbarossa knew everything the whole time and, if he did actually know everything and still joined up with the Sindria trade company, then he must have been doing it while pretending not to notice them. Bararossa then addresses the elephant in the room, saying that he’s yet to see princess Celendine. He says that it’s no wonder since she’s so hostile towards him, it’s only natural they’d hide her. But Sinbad replies that he has no intention of hiding her, but that she is actually no longer there, since she went off somewhere, along with a few people that morning. He tells Barbarossa that, if he doubts him, he can check the farewell letter she left, her room or anything he wishes and tells him he’s not lying. He then, quite sternly, tells Barbarossa to quit the act, and says that if he really knew everything, then he should have known that Celendine had aimed to take back her country, as a member of the royal family bloodline. And, the fact that he himself knew about the plan and agreed to it, but never carried it out. He then explains that it’s because he met him, got to know him, and learned about a political system without the need of “royal blood”. He explains that he was impressed, from the bottom of his heart, about this new system of politics by the people. He says that he joined with him because he believed that the current Parthevia was the way of the future of the world, Sinbad then says that he chose Barbarossa, and now, he won’t lie to him or betray him. Barbarossa then smiles and tells him that he’s changed, which confuses Sinbad. Barbarossa explains that he has the face of someone who stands above others. He then turns to Drakon (addressing him as “junior”) and asks what he plans to do now. He reminds him that he supposedly hated him and wanted to kill him, and asks if he really wants to join forces with an enemy like that. He once again asks what happened, to which Drakon replies that, currently, his king is Sinbad, and even if they’re dealing with a former enemy, he’ll obey his king’s decisions and tells him that his name is Drakon. Barbarossa tells him that he’s changed too (while still referring to him as “Junior”).

The scene then changes to show Celendine on a boat right off the coast of Balbadd. Falan asks Celendine if it’s really okay that they’ve separated from Sindria company, to which Celendine replies that it is. She explains that there’s nothing she can accomplish there anymore and so, in order to do what she needs to do, she had no choice but to continue forward. She then calls out to Saher and Tamira to start their journey. Thus, Sindria company steadily progressed towards creating their country with a mixture of expectations and just like that, a year passes by.

And that’s all for now! Sorry for the delay, I had something I had to take care of before tackling this. Anyway, all I can say from this chapter is that Barbs is a damn good liar! And, Sinbad and Drakon’s relationship is adorable~! Also, excited for that time skip! The extra content this week is a continuation of last week’s comic. I hope you enjoy! ^^b

Crab fishing

Last time: Mystras went crab fishing.

Sinbad – Mystras isn’t coming back, huh..

Ja’far – Yeah…

Ja’far – Is he okay, I wonder. For him not to come back, even after it’s been this long…

Sinbad – I wonder if something might have happened……

Ja’far – Starting now, I’ll send out a search team and…

Mystras – (slam!) There’s no need for that!!

 Mystras – Man Mystras, has returned home.

 Hinahoho – Huh~? This Abareke crab is a male, you know? If it’s not a female with eggs during mating season, you can’t eat it~. Aaah~ That’s too bad, isn’t it~~

Mystras – (Shock)  /   Crab – (squirm squirm)

Snb 142, a quick and LONG rant by me. warning ( and sorry in advance) : probably misread stuff,  left stuff out, and so… because i’m at work :) :) :)

The chap’s name is “midway to the dream/ on the way to the dream”. Sinbad is sitting facing barbs and behind Sinbad there are Drakon, Vittel, Mahad and Ja’far ( the parthevian crowd of exiled people) Barbs asks for an explanation, Drakon thinks to himself that this is awkward, Ja’far thiks to himself that if sinbad gives the wrong answer and gives a suspicious feeling, their relationship with barbs will become bad at the worst timing ( or something like that ^^) Then barbs said that he knew since time ago that there was various ( kinds of) humans at the sindria trading co. like former child slaves…then he says something like that’s not of his bussiness ( i think, don’t have time to check :() but… he says that, that man ( drakon) is being searched by the police for causing  chaos on the royal palace and commiting the crime of kidnapping the imperial princess, and that he’s a great sinner, he adds that, so to speak, he is parthevia’s bitter enemy. if that’s the case, we should report it shouldn’t we? then Sinbad says, that no, that’s wrong. he says if he can have the word and says that would be the case if he were still a soldier serving at the royal palace, but now he’s the ruler of an independent nation, since the power has separated from the royal palace, it no longer makes sense to confront a sinner of the kingdom. he says that he’s sorry for the delay in the explanation , but Drakon is already his employee, he adds that For example, even if he’s a big sinner, he will bring him in as a comrade if he’s a talented person. that is the way he thinks, and the way sindria trading co. thinks.

barbarossa gets creepy ( he’s always creepy but you know) he says “i see, i agree, Sinbad” ( Yeah right, you are just waiting for the best chance to screw them all aren’t you barbs) “i have the same way of thinking, So, I will not capture that guy again”, then sinbad makes a derp face xDD and says “what, are you seriously that wary” ( well yeah, you are damn scary!) he adds that he has no interest in doing such a thing right now, he says he knew form the beginning, he also knew that the betrayers from sham lash are with him, he also knew that his little brother ( god, drakon, don’t let him call you that, barbs kadjakjd) hid princess serendine there. he says that he was waiting sinbad for when he felt like talking to him about that but it never happened, and that since this was a good opportunity, he gave him a chance. then sinbad stands up and Ja’far is very scared and thinks to himself “he knew?, then, this man joined forces with us while turning a blind eye on everything” 

then barbs adds that he was not seen serendine there, he adds that “Well, whatever, she is so hostile to me anyway, isnt’ it natural that she hides her presence?” sinbad says that she’s not hiding, that she’s not there anymore. he says that she left with other people that same morning, he says that of he doesn’t believe him he san look at the letter she left that morning in her room, he has no intention of lying to him ( sinbad no, i know you don’t like her so much in this moment but, don’t give her away? xDD)   Then sinbad says, let’s stop this farce, barbarossa, If you knew everything, you ought to know. Serendine is an absolute monarchist, she was trying to regain her country with her own hands and with the next thing he says i think he means he knew that and that he was gonna go ahear with that plan but then, he met him ( barbs) and that he was able to create a goverment without royal blood and that him became really impresed with that new regime. he says the current parthevia is the way of the future world and that’s why he joined forces with him. He says “i chose you” ( wrong choice!! xD)  and that he doesn’t want to lie or betray him now ( xDDD god ) 

then barbs suddenly say: you changed right? sinbad asks eh? then barbs says something like his features became those of someone who stands above people ( or so.. ) then he talks to drakon: so then what will you do, junior? you wanted to kill me, are you really turning a blind eye on that bitter enemy? ( talking about himself) what about that, junior? drakon says that Sinbad is his king now, and that he will follow his determination, he adds, “that’s drakon” barbs adds: i can see you changed too, junior.

the scene changes to seren!

she’s on a ship, falan asks her if she’s sure of separating from sindria trading co. seren says, of course. the thing that i have to do is not on that place, that being the case, i have to proceed in order to achieve the things that i must do ( souds so much like sinbad haha) , then she says “let’s go, saher, tamira” saher wants to say something but she says nothing. 

the narration says: thus, this way, the sindria trading co. proceeded steadily towards the fundation, as each expectation is interlacing, a year passes by/ flows quickly..
