As a being who fed off emotions, Merlin had a keen awareness of others’ feelings. He had some idea of what the Queen was talking about, though he didn’t mention it just yet. 

“Did you need to talk to someone about them? I’m probably not the best person to give out advice, but I can at least offer a cup of tea.”

If she so happened to enjoy it, was that really a bad thing?           She didn’t think so.           So there was no reason for her to be angry, since their enemies were seldom clever or sentient enough to speak. However this one...
