“Does ‘everyone’ includes me? I can see clearly here so nope.” She shrugs with her shoulders and lets out a soft laugh.

“I’m not sure if ‘everyone’ includes you-” Sarcasm drips from the words as she jumps down, stuffing her fingers into her pockets. “Also, there’s a difference between being able to see just fine from down here and liking to stand on counters. You can be two metres and still like standing on counters, can’t you?”

Jackson looked up at the stranger and smiled nervously before looking over his shoulder at someone who was a fraction of his height. “Ah– She can get pretty vocal,” he explained, looking back at the girl who had asked the question while gently tugging his young daughter by her hand so that she stood at his side. “She just has a lot to say,” he added and smiled.
