todd: i've probably said this before but rym. final. boss. he didn't even do it on purpose he was just trying to explore new music, n why would he listen to the lowest-rated music? so he went on aoty + rym n watched fantano n shit. it was a slow death. his fav album is ants from up there by black country, new road bc all the "intricate meld of the instrumentation and beautiful chamber pop sounds" or some shit (n he would be right). also a huge lyric guy. the queen is dead by the smiths is a distant second. the place where he inserted the blade is BANNED from rotation or he will cry. his fav artist is elliot smith. he is banned from talking to women or men in any romantic context for the safety of gotham. the male manipulator music will take over him like the symbiote.

neil: old fucking man. even in the modern day you can't PRY his yacht rock out of his COLD. DEAD. HANDS. TRY to take away steely dan from him you will be murdered. gayest man w the straightest music taste. but he does love elton john n barry manilow to death so it evens out. jazzy musical soundtracks? sign him tf up (i'm thinking that one bonnie n clyde musical but i literally know jackshit abt musicals so don't quote me on this) disco n big band are also cool he likes that. mostly, if it's happy n a bit soulful he'll eat it up every single time. does not need that negative energy in his life (gulp). favorite album is pet sounds by the beach boys for no reason other than "it sounds good :)" todd also likes it. they listen together. charlie: also have gone over this one prob. rnb + rap unc. if the man in the music video does not have a silk white shirt crying for a sniff of pussy in the rain then the song is shit he doesn't care. specifically loves 2000s pop rnb, ashanti n usher have him in a CHOKEHOLD but 90s also has his head (d'angelo, ginuwine) also likes a bit of bruno mars as a treat. he would like a bit of modern rap, more hype or jazz stuff (thinking future/tpab kendrick), but he is UNC at the end of the day. put on some biggie or snoop n you have a happy man. also probly an early kanye glazer, do NOT talk crazy abt the college dropout he will strangle you. thinks kanye died after donda. fav album is ofc the college dropout, fav artist is sade. you wouldn't think it would be but he GLAZES love deluxe. she is lebron james to him. would also make so many carti/lil xan jokes ie. "wow total xanarchy once again tops the rym charts as it is the greatest album oat" (this is elite ragebait for todd)

cameron: if neil is an old fucking man cameron is one foot in the GRAVE. he is actively rotting away as a human sacrifice in an ancient mesopotamian ziggarat. contrary to popular belief, he likes classical but only rlly listens to it while he's studying. he LOVES bossa nova n cool jazz though, n he listens to the good stuff. most of it is 50s/60s, but he keeps up a little bit (rip cameron you would have loved natalia lafourcade n aupinard). also the only poet that listens to foreign language music (mostly spanish, french, n portuguese) n lowkey prefers it, does not care for lyrics at all but they're a nice bonus. fav album is either kind of blue by miles davis or getz/gilberto by stan getz n joão gilberto (what a creative album title). fav artist is elis regina.

meeks: anglophile. does not do it on purpose he swore on his mother's life queen was american but was wrong (somehow his mother is still alive). doesn't have any clue why, but all his classic rock bands that he adores are all british. would be a huge bowie dickrider (fav artist), it would be impressive. favorite bands probly the clash or fleetwood mac. could not explain to you why he loves them exactly, he just does. pure vibes. call him the british pop charts the way mr brightside randomly becomes his favorite song for a week n falls off again. his one indie darling is white town, he 1000% believes that your woman should not have been his only hit n that women in technology deserves to be recognized as a great brit-pop album. jyoti mishra has replied to him once on yt n he will never get over it. that being said his fav album is london calling by the clash. sorry white town.

pitts: DAD ROCK !!! also incel rock but that has less of a ring to it. he is on thin ice due to his love for midwest emo n pinkerton by weezer, but he makes up for it w his intelligence n charm so he's still allowed to talk to women. he had a cd dad so he inherited his love for creed n pearl jam. used to hate on emo now look at him his love for modern baseball SICKENS me. loves punk. he shuts his brain off when he hears cool guitar. v chill bc when he's angry he calms down by listening to the sickest guitar riff ever it's like therapy to him. a new artist he likes gets cancelled by the day. his fav artist is red hot chili peppers n no one has the heart to tell him what happened since he does not gaf abt researching artists' lives. fav album is dookie by green day.

knox: divorced mom. every person thinks he's either gay or a performative male bc of his music taste n they would both be right. never shows a gf his music taste or else they set him up w their brother. i kid but he geniunely loves amy winehouse more than his mother (fav artist). his fav album is blonde by frank ocean. if his rnb is not gut-wrenchingly heartbroken then wtf is even the point. loves sza for this exact reason. this further pushes his performative status, no one man should love the weeknd this much without ill intentions n a black heart. also loves a bit of folk, but doesn't dive all that deep into it. bobby dylan n joni mitchell are still some of his favs. overall his music taste is either love songs or heartbreak songs no in between.

ginny: this is where it gets hard bc no one beneath here has like. a speaking role. but not actually bc she is 1000% female manipulator music. weird girl music taste final boss n she is not doing it on purpose, hyperpop n whimsigoth call to her like the devil on her shoulder. the moment she started doing theater she stopped being normal n let the beast out. 2020 was the year of ginny danburry i will tell you that. banned from talking to anyone like todd. likes aoty more than rym though. needs to hop offline bc she's geniunely confused when someone doesn't fw fka twigs. her fav album is vespertine by björk n her fav artist is cocteau twins. actually v cool n chill n not a snob despite what she listens to, she is the opposite of a gatekeeper PLEASE listen to caroline polachek she is begging you to.

chris: i love her but she is basic "tiktok music taste". it's ok though bc she does not pretend to be otherwise, she will not reinvent the wheel, she will listen to folklore n call it a day n i respect that for her. only listens to her sad girls men are NOT allowed to be depressed. taylor swift is her fav artist n her fav album is norman fucking rockwell! by lana del rey. idk how good her n ginny are as actual friends, but if they were to get close she would 100% absorb the weirdness like a sponge. however she has yet to be exposed. v nice abt music n open-minded, js hasn't been pressed to explore. but she will never let go of her pop girlies, she's rather keel over. sour's release date is canonical to her. knox would listen to lana to get close to her (does not work)

stick: banned from the aux bc he played siberian breaks by mgmt during a road trip. they tie him to the roof of the car. he is stuck in the 2010s all he listens to are the indie one-hit wonders. his fav artist is tame impala (currents glazer). fav album is this is happening by lcd soundsystem. refuses to believe that gotye is done w music, he says that any day now he'll return n drop the greatest album oat (he is coping so hard). his music taste is either extremely good or extremely bad depending on the day. someone please tell him to let go of grouplove n passion pit they haven't been good. like ever. please tell him he can move on. no one ever tell him abt "indie sleaze" or whatever it's called. i don't want to know what will happen if he discovers snow strippers. god forbid he finds the hyperpop ginny is smoking we'll all be doomed.

chet: intellectual trap fan. he may have flunked out of welton, but he is NOT (entirely) braindead. his fav artist is travis scott (do not ask him abt jackboys 2 it unlocks a deep need for violence inside of him) n his fav album is without warning by 21 savage, offset, n metro boomin. he refuses to listen to music outside of rap, he wants his hype n his flows n he has his lyrics to digest n that's all he cares abt. he loves a$ap rocky, live love a$ap is his fav mixtape, but he does not believe in don't be dumb. made a bet he'd break up w chris if it ever dropped. does not believe in the falloff by j cole either. probly follows a lot of rap channels. does not gaf for most chill/conscious rap. does not listen to any artist who has lost a rap feud he feels second-hand embarassment. was so annoying during the kendrick v drake beef. js a chill white guy, if a bit narrow-minded (music taste wise).

sniffles: he is already planning his retirement w the music he listens to. everything he listens to is soft on the ears bc they are sensitive (obv) n he gets headaches easily. he fws old country so heavily, his marty robbins love knows no bounds. it reminds him of his dad, he played all the classics in the car :) unfortunately he does not love the only vermont guy to folk (noah kahan) he has one-sided beef w the guy. he likes the rootsy traditional stuff (leonard cohen, labi siffre) n the indie experimental (cameron winter, mj lenderman). his fav artist is fleet foxes, his life changed when he first heard white winter hymnal. also loves conner oberst/bright eyes, he's his fav songwriter oat. don't get him dissecting poison oak you will be stuck there for an hour. fav album is heavy metal by cameron winter.
