Me and my cousin thought we were being clever making a new pokemon . A mix between a snail and a turtle.* i suck at drawing (like a lot) ,and thats how the snirtle was created*. Little did we know that the name was already taken until one year later! Damn you word of the day calendar!
The past two weeks had been the worst Snow had ever experienced since coming to Disney Prep. With Squirt leaving and her refusing to go with him, she had become such a shut in she barely ever left her room anymore. It had been two weeks since she had seen anyone other than her roommate. The only time she had ever left her room was to eat.
But all of that was about to change now.
How she had pulled this all off was still amazing to her. After getting in touch with Squirt's coach and finding out what part of California they were in, he booked her a plane ticket for the following day. Snow's only request was to not tell Squirt she was coming. For all she knew he could be practicing for a meet or something and him finding out she was on her way would only distract him further. She didn't want that to happen. Keeping it all a secret was the best solution to everything. Besides, she really just wanted to see the look on his face when he picked her up from the airport.
It hadn't taken her all that long to pack up all of her things and put them out in the hallway, didn't really have much to begin with. After many hugs and goodbyes from the couple friends she had left here with promises to call them at least once a week she picked up her bags and disappeared down the hallway. What did the future hold for her? How long would it take for her mother to figure out she wasn't at Disney Prep anymore and begin searching for her? She had no idea but she didn't care. All that mattered now was she was only a couple hours away from seeing Squirt again.
One of the many downsides to going to school in the middle of nowhere was that everything was at least an hour away. The airport included. Back home she could have been at LAX or any other airport for that matter if she wanted too. Minus the traffic. But the Manchester Regional Airport was over an hour away and the taxi driver wasn't in as much of a hurry as she would have liked so the only thing she could think to do was sleep.
And sleep she did. It had felt like she had only been asleep for a few minutes before she was being poked by the taxi driver telling her they had arrived. Snow fished a couple couple twenties out of her bag and handed them to the driver, thanking him for the ride before getting out and grabbing her bags. The Manchester Airport wasn't nearly as big as LAX was but it was still pretty huge and Snow knew she would probably get lost. Finding the bag check making it successfully through security was the easy part. But now came the time she had been dreading. With her ticket clutched in one hand and her backpack slung over one of her shoulders, she began to wander around until she found someone who could actually point her in the right direction. She had tried asking the people checking her bags before she left security, but just brushed her off as they checked the guy behind her for explosives.
After finally being pointed in the right direction and finding the correct terminal, she took a seat in one of the empty chairs next to an elderly couple waiting for the same plane. How long was this whole waiting thing suppose to take. Would she only be sitting here for another 10 minutes before they were told to start boarding or would she have to sit here for another few hours before their plane would finally show up? All she wanted was to finally be with Squirt again, this whole waiting in the terminal seemed pointless. With all the questions running around in her mind, she almost turned to the couple next to her and asked how much longer this would take.
But before long the woman near the door was telling them it was time to start boarding and to have their tickets ready. Snow’s ticket was slightly wrinkled from being clutched in her hand since she had gotten out of the taxi, fearing if she put it in her backpack it would mysteriously disappear and she would have to go back to DP.
Going home was the absolute last thing she wanted to do. Being this close to freedom only to have it taken away in the blink of an eye sounded like absolute torture.
After haggling with the woman in her row for the window seat and successfully getting it, The first hour of the plane ride seemed to go by like nothing. But the next four were much longer. Because the plane ride was only five hours long she didn’t have the opportunity to watch a movie. Which was what she had been counting on. Movies always made time go by much faster. So now she had nothing to entertain herself with except her thoughts. What was Squirt doing right now? Did he have any suspicion that she was actually on her way to California right now and not in New Hampshire like he thought? The meer thought of the boy she was flying to go see right now made her smile like an idiot. The poor woman next to her probably thought she was crazy or something.
“We are now approaching our final destination, Los Angeles, California. Please put your seat belts back on and our tray tables locked in the upright position. We should be landing in about ten minutes”
Her eyes fluttered open and squinted as the bright sun hit her eyes when the announcement was made. They couldn’t be that close already, could they? She asked herself as she looked out the window and sure enough she saw human life instead of just clouds. Snow's hands began to shake out of excitement. Somewhere down there Squirt was waiting for her, whether he knew it or not. She would be with him again in less than a half an hour.
Those ten minutes seemed to be more like three when her ears began to pop and she felt the wheels of the plane touch the ground. After grabbing her bag from the overhead compartment and making sure she hadn’t left anything on her seat, she put her backpack on her back got in the line of people that were so eager to exit the plane one woman almost forgot her infant. The line of people was slow moving but she eventually was able to get off the plane and out into the actual airport. Her nerves were beginning to kick in now. What if he wasn't excited to see her? What if he saw Snow and just turned the other way, ignoring her completely. She knew that wouldn't actually happen, Squirt wasn't like that, but she couldn't help but be worried.
When she was finally making her way off the plane she stood on her tippy toes, trying to see over all the people in front of her to see if she could spot the boy she loved.
After scribbling some nonsense onto a sheet of paper, Squirt folded it up and made his way to his girlfriend's class. Upon entering the door, he did his best not to light up at the sight of her, and directed his focus towards the teacher he had just interrupted. "Sorry to interrupt.." He stammered, trying to make up a lie as he went along. "I need a... Snow White? Note from the office," he said, trying to control his face from flushing as it usually did when he lied. Luckily, the teacher didnt think twice about it before waving her off, returning to the board without even taking the fake note Squirt had taken the time to forge. The blonde held the door open for her to exit the classroom, and as soon as it was shut completely he yanked her out of view of the classroom window before wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her deeply. He pulled back with a sigh of relief. "I'm so bad at lying..." He chuckled as his cheeks turned pink. "You up for a movie day, Snowflake?" He asked, ending the question with a light kiss on her nose.
