GREAT, that’s just peachy. from one mess right into another. trick of the mind or the machinations of her enemies-- and she’d be no stranger to either-- she wouldn’t allow it the satisfaction of breaking her. she just tugged her hood up over her head and slipped into the crowds, playing the ghost just as she had before. whatever this was, she couldn’t know what surprises it held, and more importantly, what dangers.
heck, the MRD were probably still out to tag her, if the mutant haters didn’t try to kill her first.
with that thought rapidly souring, Rogue’s brows furrowed, and she slowed outside a store, eyeing a stack of papers in the rack just shy the entrance. Hive City, huh-- sounded nice, and by ’nice’, she really meant awful. with renewed caution, she continued down the street, before again being reined to a halt.
she’d recognise that scowl anywhere, and from a mile away. so, she turned. she didn’t need this right now.
