I first thought Isayama-sensei )'s artwork was weird, kind of creepy and gothic, and I think that's the reason I was initially reluctant to read Shingeki no Kyojin manga. But now that I have read all of it until the latest chapter, I fell in love with his art. His messy lines, strokes, the grey tone he's always using as shades, all the details, amazing backgrounds, and the uniqueness in every character artwork... I love them all. I also love how his drawing brings out feelings that are unique to the SnK storyline or at least that's what I feel as a reader. I think that's why I haven't yet read A Choice With No Regrets even though I love Levi (along with Mikasa) a lot and pretty much every other characters in Survey Corps (especially Erwin, Armin, and Hange). The artwork is amazing... but is also still different from Isayama-sensei's. I feel like reading a doujinshi when I first saw the prologue chapter. And I find it hard for a doujinshi to be considered canon (probably the result of being in 'a certain fandom' where everything not written/drawn by the mangaka is hardly considered fully canon). Although I am fully aware that ACWNR is canon (or at least that's what my friend told me). And that same friend (an Eruri shipper) has also been nagging me a lot to read it. Well, I've tried and am currently in the first pages of chapter 1. But I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of time for me to finish that.
