a/n: yay another one written from my phone! I'm trying to end doom scrolling one drabble/mini fic at a time, and of course it's somewhat plucked from my life [if only I had an irl Miche by my side]
modern au, tattoo artist au - unedited
"I think ..." [Y/n] hugged her knees to her shoulders, watching Miche work on Erwin's car. That alone made him stop and look at her.
"Shit, you do that?"
She feigned a sigh, "Fine then, I'm never telling you anything."
A chuckle as Miche began wiping his hands, eyes inspecting the car. "I'm listening." Patiently. Always. And excited.
"Well, maybe it's too far to say it, but this month I haven't missed him. I think I'm successful moving on."
"That's good," crouching down, the anger he felt when she broke down crying in Erwin's living room made itself known. again. "It really is like that."
"I mean you guys help, too. Maybe I should get a tattoo ...."
"It's nice having you around, (Y/n)." He motioned at the keys on the table beside her, "I mean, you can help me start the car, too."
— Showered and dressed, Miche offered that he drive her around in Erwin's fixed car. Nothing more than a test drive, as Miche said. And in turn he'd listen to her blabber on.
This time about the tattoos she got, perfectly concealed under her clothes. "I mean, if you look at it, it's quite sad."
At the stop light, he dared look at her side, features perfectly illuminated by the afternoon sun. "Hmm? The matching tattoos part or?"
"OH no no no, the matching tattoos, I don't regret. I even forget I have it," she met his eyes, a pout, "He was one of the people who knew me before I had tattoos."
"A pleasure I'll never have," fatigue pulled honesty from him. "I'll bet all my worth and assume you were a wild one before getting inked."
"Oh my god, Miche."
"I've seen enough clients," he turned the car to drive to a familiar street. "It's the ink that makes them behave."
Parked in front of his studio, he looked at (Y/n) who's caught on. "How about you celebrate?"
Mouth agape, she looked at him, pursing her lips in concern, "I'm sorry, Miche, it's not in this month's budget and—"
He dared cup her face, "Woah woah, I'm not letting you pay anything, angel."
"I—" she looked between him and the tattoo shop, and then slumping down in her seat, "Alright, Miche. I'm putting my life on your chair."
"Thank you, Angel."
— "You're awfully happy," Zeke sneered when the two of them joined at the restaurant's table. "You two pulled shit somewhere?"
Smiling, (Y/n) rolled the sleeve of her left arm up, "Look! Miche drew me a flower band."
"HA?" Miche, tired from today's events yet content, acknowledged everyone's shocked stares at him.
Hange, who always teased him of his crush on their friend, now at a loss for words.
Levi only prayed that their would be displays of affection wouldn't come so soon.
Erwin and Zeke, his roommates, only shot him a look full of warning. Both hoping that he's serious with ... you.
All while (Y/n) looked lovingly at her new tattoo. One that Miche drew for her months ago, and hoped he could give her one day. "I can't stop looking at it, it's so pretty."
"It's not going anywhere," he chuckled. "But I'm glad, (Y/n)."
note: am I back? am I back? I hope so 😭🤚 I'm a day late, but here's a miche zacharias boyfriend headcanons. [Miche HC anon if you're reading this, hi. I wuvyu] I've so much to post about him in my drafts but time and being burnout is not so fun
warnings: unedited (I'm typing all this on my phone) slight mention of an FWB relationship, reader is artist-coded, Miche calls reader 'doll'
boyfriend Miche and you whose relationship really didn't *surprise* your pool of friends at all. The two of you already acted like a couple. If anything it was you two who were surprised.
boyfriend Miche and you who started off as being friends with benefits [here's a fic I wrote] where alot of nights were spent sleeping on his chest, or him sleeping above you
fwb Miche who looked at you one night, so close to asking if you two should *escape again*
fwb Miche offering his shoulder to you when you shyly rest your head once Hanji starts talking about a new government funded research on Ragako's cattle practice.
fwb Miche who checks up on you throughout Hange's story, noticing that your fighting off sleep.
fwb Miche who's heart stops beating. he was sure it stopped beating when you looked up and said, 'let's go home'
fwb Miche who confirmed that he felt more that just "I like being around (y/n)." when he looked at your sleeping figure on his passenger seat when he stopped at a red light.
boyfriend Miche who's more shameless I'm asking you if he could watch you draw/write/edit/paint.
boyfriend Miche who's worried that you'll injure yourself making your canvases, so he takes it up in himself. "Can't have you accidentally hammering yourself with this—" "might've happened once".
Boyfriend Miche who took it as his responsibility to make your canvases from then.
Boyfriend Miche who tries to play it cool that he's in love. Everyone at work notices him smiling more, smiling at his phone more. His interns were sure that it was his bike that shamelessly roared when the clock showed 5pm.
Boyfriend Miche who keeps all your doodles of you two in his wallet. Just underneath the polaroid the two of you had taken.
Boyfriend Miche and you who are still friends. One day you catch him smiling as he cooked, "You're smiling stupid" "I am?" He says with a smirk "I'm in love with the prettiest person alive" "oh"
Boyfriend Miche who takes in your stunned face, leaning towards you to peck your face. Then a quick one on the lips.
Friends who kiss more, as you two would joke about.
Boyfriend Miche never understanding why you two should match. slowly though, he's the one who initiates it. Matching watches, matching keychains, matching baseball caps.
Boyfriend Miche who likes towering over you when you two shop for groceries or go to bookstores, vending enough to rest his chin on top of your head.
Boyfriend Miche also has an embarrassing amount of pictures of you sleeping on him.
Boyfriend Miche who goes straight to your house than his after an unexpected overtime. "I'd rather be here than that apartment"
Boyfriend Miche who tiredly watches you from the couch as you put takeout food on plates. "You didn't have to, (Y/n).You're tired, too" "Yea.. I still wanna eat with you unless you don't want to"
Boyfriend Miche has that stupid smile again, forcing himself up from the couch and joining you on the floor. "What was my doll's day like?"
Before a date with Miche Zacharias would include . . .
@postwarlevi [Eliza] asks . . .
How would Miche get ready for a romantic date and what are certain things he'd do on the date? Like, would he get them flowers, etc?
Setting: Modern Au
Warnings: none - unedited
And Nick says . . .
After finally saying yes, Miche's mind is full of many many possibilities. He doesn't know you that well yet [except for Erwin's stories/ the side of you that he's seen in his workplace/ being surface level friends for so long] bit he wants to make a good first impression that'll have you say yes when he asks if you're up for a second date.
Miche who's ways made his own food at home [even grows some of his vegetables] turns to Erwin to ask what are the best places to take you out on a dinner date.
Miche who visits his grandparents extra early on Tuesday to ask what he should wear. He didn't expect his grandfather telling him to fic his hair because it looked like his aunt's shih tzu from afar. And tells him, 'She actually called it fluffy looking' —'and dog's are fluff ball bastards, too.'
Miche who, according to his grandmother, should visit a flower shop run by an old friend. Because flowers always show you care.
Miche who makes a reservation at the restaurant with an outdoor dining area two days before the date.
— On the day of the date however,
Miche who opens the door as he's fresh out of the shower to his parents looking excited and his grandparents with stern looks on their faces.
Or. Miche who's in a zoom call with Erwin, Zeke and Levi as he gets ready and them throwing the most exaggerating compliments that makes him wonder if he should've asked them for help in the first place.
Erwin: You can actually look decent. Good work!
Zeke: I'd date you if you were the last option.
Levi: makes a good funeral outfit.
And finally Miche who sprays his favourite perfume before confirming his date with you with a text, flowers by his waist and his hair combed back [as it dries it'll take it's usual style].
Miche who slightly slaps his cheek to focus when he picks you up.
I hope you liked this, Eliza!!! Thank you for sending an ask ❤️💖
Here's another fic for my 400 follower milestone fic specials with the theme '[Un]learning' where my favourite life lessons are used for in fics.
Plot: eleven years ago you confessed your heart out to Miche in a poem. Eleven years later, he's reminded of how valuable it is to him.
Lesson learnt: the puppy love you show someone sticks with them in a different way and van mean something bigger.
+ note: This is how I told my ex I liked him. I wonder where all the stuff I wrote for him went. So it's a very personal fic 🥲
++ did you know that Miche's English dub actor is the same as Kishibe's [I just had to add this in the fic]
+++ what do we think about the pictures in the stories 😗👉👈
— 11th Grade
The winter’s harsh winds hitting their faces and her eyes that she refused to blinked wasn’t the reason why (Y/n) looked like she was about to cry. Staring up at Miche as the weight of her bag dug both her shoulders and the tote bag heavy with economics textbooks while she waited for Miche to finish her confession poem brought on a screen of tears.
He lowered the ruled papers she tore out from her notebook, the one where she wrote all of her fanfiction in during class, with a grin tugging at the corners of his lips, “Really?” Miche’s bushy eyebrows rose and his hand combed his hair back.
“Wow,” he breathed when she nodded. “No one ever told me this way.”
Feeling everyone’s eyes who waited for the bus on her, (Y/n) was reminded that Miche had too many confessions throughout the start of High school. Pride fueled her to reach her arm up at him, crumpling the paper in the middle as she snatched it away.
“That’s my bus!” She yelled, hoisting her bag up as she ran away, a stray tear from embarrassment falling. “That was so stupid, what the fuck, (Y/n)?”
— Eleven Years later
“Paper,” was what his niece said she needed when he peaked his head into her room to ask what she wanted from his grocery run. Being the guest in his brother’s house— and wanting to compensate for the time he didn’t spend with his nieces, Miche spoiled them with snacks. Teenagers always wanted snacks.
And, “Paper?” He asked that to Marielle who was crouched over the textbooks that guaranteed a passing score in the country’s top universities.
“Just paper.” She mumbled. “Thank you uncle, Miche.”
“No problem,” he took in one last look at her before he crouched down to his brother’s last addition. Three year old Sylvia who’s had him thinking of settling down to start a family. “I can’t take you with me today, I’m buying many, many things.”
She was a smart kid like her sisters that’s why her eyes watered at Miche’s gentle tone, and turned around calling for her,“Mama!”
It was those little moments in the household when his mind began to dream of what it’d be like settling down in Paradis with a house across hsi brothers. Followed by the many what if’s of (Y/n)— whose heart loved him so much that she wrote him a confession in class. A memory that made him chuckle now.
And bring in rage and the want to punch his younger self for thinking that she’d beg for him to look her way.
A hand deep in his pocket and the other pulling the basket with his groceries, Miche stood at the end of the stationery aisle. As he waited for the woman crouched in front of the packed papers to stand up before he made his way to it, when his phone buzzed.
A senior who only began the year and she’s already preparing herself for college entrance exams for next year. He still remembers being told not to carry her too much on the night she celebrated her fifth birthday . . . right. Miche carried her to distract himself from the confession letter (Y/n) tore out his hands that afternoon.
“You have a senior in high school, too, miss?” He started when he joined her in looking at the variety of packed papers. “My niece wants—”
Turning to him, her hair swayed to the side and eyes without a thought stared straight up at him, “I’m sorry, what?”
Again, Miche towered over (Y/n). This time he really felt his heart swelled with a sense of familiarity and the memories that came to his mind all at once.
— That night
His heart had never beat too fast when he talked to a girl, sending messages were easy. Especially when he knew what type of effect he had on them. Though this time while Allie’s fifth birthday party continued outside, and the possibility of being walked in on during a what would be heartfelt call made Miche nervous.
Heart beating at a new pace where he felt it in his fingertips. It sped up after every ring. “Hello?” Came a younger voice. Probably one of her brother’s, who she calle dher dogs.
He picked up the cord, twirling his fingers to take away. “Can I talk to your sister?”
“She’s napping.”
“Uhm,” he swallowed, “Can you tell her that Miche Zacharias called?”
“Are you a boy?”
“Yes?”
“I’ll tell her that.”
“Thank you. . . I think. And tell her I need the paper, too.”
“Okay, bye.”
— Present Day
Looking down at her made him wonder if she still wrote with so much love in her heart. Or if the heart that he broke found someone else to write for. Miche’s throat dried at his mind wanting to tell her that the poem was safe in his wallet.
That it’s always been with him. It was a reminder that love— no, someone had loved him that way. Instead he only said, “(Y/n)! Long time no see, how . . .” his eyes trailed down to the wrist brace she wore as he stepped back.
“Life’s definitely life still.” She nodded. “Mhm, it’s definitely life. I’m alive.”
He pointed at the paper packs she tried to balance against her hip, “Do you need help with that? Not really in the best shape.”
“I’d actually appreciate that, thank you, Miche.”
“Ey, you still remember my name.” Of course she does. She wrote him poems. One after another and gave it to him at the end of the day.
She only smiled. Careful not to bump against the other shoppers, she looked up at him, “So what . . . happened— no, what do you do?”
“Continued engineering,” he replied with a shrug. “I just got back from Hizuru.”
“Ah, so you were based there like everyone?”
“Yep! I was there for five years. I was the first batch actually.”
“That sounds nice.”
His next question brought the idea of asking her out to coffee, “And you? Still writing?”
“Sort of—” She turned to the display screen with her card in hand, ”how much?”
Turning to Miche who handed the bag of papers, she almost laughed as she waved her arm up. “I write for shows these days, that’s why this happened.”
“Sounds serious.” His basket still at the starting point of the cashier, he was pressured to ask, “Will I see you around?”
“With my fiancee.” She smiled, pointing at the man who had just entered the store with a phone pressed up to his ear, “we’re filming around the area. Maybe you’ve heard of the show?
Chainsaw man?”
“No,” His hope was washed away. Still, Miche looked at her smile longer despite it being for someone she loved. He’d look at it when he went to sleep with a broken heart later. “Welcome back. Or welcome home?”
“He’s home,” hshe controlled her grin and turned to him one last time, ”my home. But, welcome home to you too, Miche. Thank you so much for helping.”
“Mhm.” He nodded, lips pressing into a thin line.
“Sir, do you have a bag of your own or?”
— That evening—
“Where’s the paper?” Asked Allie after she rummaged through the bags Miche set down on the table.
His older brother busy with cleaning the meat froze. “Miche,” slowly turning to him.
“My ex . . .”
“Allie, we’ll get you paper.”
“Nah, you can listen kid.” He sighed, pressing on to the news channel. “I saw her at the paper aisle and,” pinching the bridge of his nose, Miche exhaled hard. “She was our school’s writer and she used to write me stories.”
“Is it (Y/n)? She’s on the alumni wall.”
“Hah,” his brother recalled, “You used to laugh at them. Your uncle led the poor girl on.”
“Because you thought you could ask her out again?”
“Technically she dod that first, but,” he slumped further into his chair when the TV showed her picture on the screen.
Scriptwriters of your favourite shows are cooking forward and selling their first drafts to raise funds for the Hizuru Disaster. One of it going for as low as eight hundred thousand.
“You still have some of her poems with you?” Joel joined him at the table. “Those are collector's items now.”

A realisation of a different kind set in as her eyes followed the red car driving by until it turned to the side. It was one that made her sigh— just a sigh because she wanted to and hugged her legs as her chin rested on the top of her knees. Of all the times she could’ve had such a thought, it occurred so abruptly when she sat on the side of the quiet streets outside, facing the many food stands and when she was with Miche, too. “I’m still here.” Today would’ve been a different day for all the people who knew her. An unwanted event, almost.
Not a normal summer’s afternoon. She had been too lost in her own amazement for going as far as forgetting what was almost her death anniversary to even feel his presence, standing above her. Mouth hung open and eyebrows furrowed. “Shi~t, you and Erwin are two different types of weird.”
And there he was. Wearing his always so mischievous look, two cones in his hand. Sitting down next to her, the cone that looked so small in his hold was suddenly bigger when he extended his arm to give to her.“This is for you— and no, you’re no. You’re only gaining energy you lost.”
He was something. Somehow always making her forget about the many bad things that could’ve happened to her. “Oh, how much was this—”
“No. It’s for your . . .” a brief moment of nervousness for not having an answer other than wanting to see a genuine smile on her face, ”planks, they’ve been looking well.”
Nodding, she looked down at the cone. Surprised that he ordered her favourites, still remembering them after being gone for work. Miche had his eyes through her, waiting for a smile as he shoved spoonfuls of the gelato in his mouth. “Thank you, Miche.” There was a smile, just not as vibrant as before.
“So,” he dragged, annoying her with his tone, “you talk to yourself often?”
An offended look crossed her face, body leaning away from him. “I do not talk to myself.”
He reciprocated the stare she was giving him, how could she forget that he was the one in the friend group who silenced people like that? Well, right next to Levi. The intensity of his glares made up for the lack of height. Poor guy. “Heard you— like right before I sat down.”Raising his voice to mimic hers, “I’m still here-” what he didn’t expect was for her spoonful to lodge in her throat as an almost laugh turned to a series of coughs.
“Asshole,” playfully she kicked the side of his shoes with her toe, turning it into a silent game of who could step on each other.
“HAH! I win,” he emphasized with a wiggle of his foot resting above hers, “C’mon, what’s up?”
“Do you want an actual answer or . . .” again, that realisation she briefly forgot returned, bringing her. . . a sudden pang of guilt. Why was she feeling guilty over what she wanted to do last year? Did she really want it?
“Sure, I guess.”
“Really now?” Maybe the guilt came from never telling him what was happening in her life when he was consistent with the many pictures of his work travels despite the distance and timezones.
“You in the mental state to handle it?” Almost a question to herself rather than him.
“Try me,” said Miche with all of his chest despite knowing full well that he was always the group’s victim. Quite an irony for someone who appeared as the scariest looking, always squealing at horror movies or Hanji’s lab experiments. Or when he had pissed Levi off enough to raise a false punch his way. Seeing that she was unsure with his answer as much as he was, Miche only nodded. “I’ve seen enough, I’m not squeamish anymore.”
“One year ago I almost pushed . . .” people do grow. And even if she was still plagued with many different struggles, she’s grown different from last year. Rephrasing it when his face didn’t change, she sat straighter. “Almost committed last year.”
“Ah,” he really thought he could handle it this time.
He’s held up her hair before while vomiting her life after drinking when he was on the verge of throwing up from the mix of smells himself. Or when his hand landed on an insect hard enough that the wall had a hole too after she’d yelled for his name.
The distance they spent away from each other after college was enough time for him to realise that doing almost everything for her without a thought was . . . love. Even if he couldn’t handle them
“Yeah.” She breathed, shoulders relaxing as she ate. “Glad I’m still here, guess this counts as a celebration.”
Of course, Miche wouldn’t think much of anything. Always the cool-headed one.
“Glad to be here, wouldn’t be eating gelato with you.” She said before setting her eyes to watch the woman in a stall cut fruit at a speed she’s never imagined, leaving Miche to be in his own mind that was becoming louder and louder.
The TV played a familiar action movie he’s watched to unwind since his university days, his eyes set straight, trying not to look down on (Y/n) who was asleep on his lap. Head on the armrest of his couch and her upper body comfortably on top of his, her arms hugged the pillow he bought especially for nights when she slept over. His mind was louder than the dialogue of the movie he’s almost memorised.
When the next to scenes didn’t make sense anymore, he reached for the remote and pressed ‘pause’, finally allowing himself to look at her.
Tonight would’ve been a different one, a silent one. His house would be the meeting place as they all reminisced about a friend who left them too soon. Sat around in a circle in the backyard sharing their stories with her as they ate.
Feeling his heart swell, he reached for the remote again to turn the TV off.
How can such a face that brought so much light around them have . . . no, how could she think that such a thing was her only solution? No, how long had she been alone?
Miche’s a man of a few words— even lacks the vocabulary to express himself even. But behind the bangs that she’s always loved to run her fingers through, his eyes spoke the most.
And as he stared at her, sleeping so peacefully in his hold, they glistened. A few stray tears escaped. There were so many questions that begged to be asked, but instead, he sniffled and bent down. Inhaling her scent to remind him that she was here.
She was in his house.
Asleep on his lap.
“Thank you for being with me.” Followed by sniffling.
His head rest above hers as he allowed the tears to silently flow. An arm holding her protectively.
Plot: Thrown in a new country and the news of an inheritance, (Y/n)'s sure she can survive the four years of her university life alone. Her plans were destroyed by the stupid blond frat boy sitting at the back of the class next to her.
