Isayama is an absolute master of parallels and Armin has the world in his eyes.

In my own interpretation of the final chapter, Armin caught on to the fact that Eren was indeed still effected by the will of the founder and he chose to thank Eren for his patriotism in their final moments together, as opposed to continuing to yell at him about past decisions that can’t be changed. But Armin has never been a very good liar and that is why Eren looks so pained by his words... he knows Armin doesn’t mean them.

I always wondered why Armin and Historia looked so much alike and after chapter 139... now I know.

Bonus: a lovely reminder that SNK Jr. High foreshadowed the whole thing.

At this point, I very much hope that the focus of the story shifts to Armin and Levi. 

These two characters now both have the weight of Hange's and Erwin's lives on their shoulders, Hange risked and then gave her life for both of them (for Levi twice). They have found themselves in their toughest positions to date. Despite that, it's time for them to come out of their stagnant states and act because the situation demands it.

I really hope the death of Hange will push their characters to their limits, because if it doesn't happen now, it probably won't happen at all.

Arumika dynamic in front of Eren’s shit is like :

         1. Eren, insulting them

           2. The injury

           3. The protective fist fight of the other

       4. And what about you, dear Eren ?

 As Hannes said, even if time and events passes, their dynamics remain the same.
