I have kpop tags blocked on tumblr :D, but whenever I see your posts of blocked Stray Kids gifsets appear on my dash all in a row, I know new music must've come out so I check it out. Would House of 1000 Corpses count as torture porn? The scene where Baby dances to Brick House while the dude is tortured stands out in my memory.
I haven’t seen the movie so I can’t say.
The phrase “torture porn” actually doesn’t refer to violence that is sexualized, though, I want to say.
The term was coined to describe violence that constitutes a gratuitous spectacle for its own sake, the way that sexual imagery in porn constitutes ever increasing extremes of excess.
The same article that panned a lot of horror as “torture porn” also wrote about The Passion of the Christ in the same terms.
