It's October. Two days before Halloween and I'm set to run in a 5K tomorrow, dubbed the Super Hero 5K with a gaggle of people from Turbine (my old workplace) and related friends. We're all going as Green Lanterns. Oh, and it's snowing and it should continue through the night and into the morning. Yes, rub your eyes, read this again, I will repeat myself. It's snowing. In October. Snowing in October, we're supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow here in my part of MA. I'm contemplating wimping out on this one. The last 5K race I ran was in March 2010 (yes, I realize it was a long time ago, but that was like...two ankle sprains / fractures ago...). It was about 35 degrees and pouring rain. My arms went numb because they were so cold. Did I mention it was my first 5K? And this will be my 2nd 5K? And both times, weather is and will be the SUCK. It will definitely be a last minute decision. I also signed up for a Jingle Bell Run 5K in late December, but snow and inclement weather is implied when signing up - or at least you expect to run in the freezing ass cold. This one was a bit of a surprise...
