Snorralaug is a pool in Iceland named after medieval historian and author Snorri Sturluson. The accounts describe a tunnel running from Sturluson’s farmhouse to the pool with archaeological findings dating it to 1818. The Snorralaug is fed by two underground conduits from the Skrifla hot springs and is constructed of pumice stone – highly porous, solidified lava. Read more here
