To commemorate the near year since Leonard Cohen passed, Feist released a studio cover of “Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye.” Originally, she performed the cover at the 2017 Juno Awards with Ariel Engle of AroarA and Broken Social Scene, and Daniela Gesundheit of Snowblink.

This year marks my first Winter in Austin and though I’ve missed seeing snow blanket the ground, I must say the lack of the constant bitter cold of the upper midwest more than makes up for it. Whatever the temperature & precipitation outside though, Winter represents to me both cold and melancholy as well as warmth and beauty, dual feelings which I’ve tried to evoke with this mixtape.
