He had a habit of being abnormal.
With arms straight out from his sides, one hand clasping the clear umbrella, his pale boots tread softly along the roof of a building he hadn't taken the time to notice -- and probably never would. It was a means of transport without having people watching him and putting him on edge. Not that they could see his face, but the gas mask seemed to freak people out. He couldn't help but wonder why.
But this wasn't his usual means of getting from one place to another. There was someone down below, on the street, that had caught his interest. It wasn't often someone caught his attention enough that he would follow them for so long without being distracted by something. Because he was easily distracted, his mind jumping from one thought to another so quickly he was surprised when someone couldn't keep up with him. Why couldn't they? It was simple, wasn't it? They always looked at him confused. He was the confused one.
But this time, he wasn't going to let himself get sidetracked. He wanted to know what was happening with the person below. Because it interested him. And therefore he was going to stick his nose in it.
Picking up the speed slightly when the person turned a corner, he opened his umbrella and used it to help him jump from rooftop to rooftop, both hands grasping the handle. He landed with a soft thud, boots immediately gaining grip on the tiles and he propelled himself forward--
Only to be met with no roof on the other side. He cried out as he slipped, unable to stop himself or grip the tiles. He began to plummet to the ground, arms flailing as he saw the person of that had spiked his interest pass below him. He tried to warn them, but before he knew it, the ground was racing up to meet him and he landed with a sickening thud on the cement. At least he'd missed the stranger.
He had a habit of being abnormal.
