I got Breath of the Wild while I was sick, and I thought it’d be a funny juxtaposition to be playing the snow bowling minigame during a blood moon. Like, “Sorry, Zelda, I don’t care how strong Ganon’s power is right now because I’m too busy getting FILTHY RICH.”

Pondo’s rewards are so generous I think he’s deliberately bribing you to play his game and listen to the ice puns he probably spent hours thinking up.

Anyway, I picked the right night, and took a selfie with the moon for posterity. As the time approached midnight, I noticed the music wasn’t changing from that ten second loop that plays the whole time. I assumed the minigame music just overrode it, but the red corruption sparks were also missing.

At midnight, the moon turned white again and nothing else happened. No cutscene. I teleported to Hyrule Field to check on the guardians I’d killed the night before, and they were all still gone, so it wasn’t just the cutscene that had been skipped.

I avoided my responsibilities so hard that the responsibilities gave up and went away. Since if you skip a blood moon, another one arrives the next night, I know what I’m doing every night for the rest of the game.

I understand you can also delay blood moons by spending midnight in a shrine, but that’s not as funny.
