Snowpoem #1

The cold wipes away our uneven ground

we’re cold patched - a thousand potholes in wait

this storm we have covers the skyline

only citylights touch our clouds

the stars left behind.

Let’s think-

how many inches of doubt between us?

Why does the snow drift by,

no cover for our green words

/

The things we want locked between

black ice and asphalt

/

I’ll never know
