a lot of people make a lot of different hcs about if a character can/cant cook and id like to present my case for the uu quartet

Flame is actually incredibly good at it, it being a kind of hobby if his. Learning to cook at a fairly young age and liking doing it.

Parrot is decent at it, his food tastes good but isnt anything too special. He mostly eats for health and survival, never really liked it but living with Theo changed his mind.

Spoke isn't exactly terrible at it, but theyre definitely not good. Spoke barely feeds themself anyway, Mapicc making the basicest of meals for the two.

Wemmbu is unfortunately horrid at making anything but omelets and sandwiches. They are willing to put in the effort to learn, but they never have the proper time to do so.

Seraphim!Egg hc is incredibly popular but i feel like that doesnt suit him as much,,,

I just like to go about things the 🤓☝️ way

!!Obviously, not!! to say its a bad hc or anything, god forbid, but i do think a majority only associate Seraphims as 'Seraphim = Powerful Angel' and 'Powerful Angel = Eggchan' and him being a powerful is a bit of a stretch

not to mention that i doubt the Aether would let one of their Seraphims just slip out like that, or that theyd be cast down just like that. They are incredibly devoted and close to God, and speaking of the hypothetical being in the mc Aether they'd probably be close to them too. Im still working on re-writing some stuff about the Aether and adding a being to be worshipped in the way I think the Void is also worshipped.

To me, a Virtue suits him way more. Theyre responsible for miracles, maintaining things as they should be, maintaining morals and helping with things like courage, hope, love and patience. Giving strength and power to overcome hardships, giving hope and help endure. And I feel like that suits him more with the whole him giving Wemm supplies, making him help Loppezz and snowciv, attempting to stray him from sensless violence, motivating him and generally is kind of like a beacon of hope..... And he gives him wisdom too, strays him over to the morally better path (well.....maybe not so much recently... but a lot in season 1 and early s2)

Virtues are also occasionally sent down (in my understanding) to guide, and theyre not ranked as highly as Seraphims (top rank vs 5th rank , quite a lot of difference) and a Virtue getting sent down for a human (or in this case.. slash my own personal case.. a demon) to help them is definitely not a crazy thing to do

been reading about angels generally... Seraphims being on fire is so interesting i think i could cook some bullshit up with that.... angels are interesting... i highly recommend nerding out about biblical angels to everyone ever

Im a man who ponders and has many thoughts and currently running around my brain is Unstables strongest player championship

the ending of both Flames and Wemms episodes showing that there was absolutely nobody at the arena in the end is honestly tragic ti me

they both have been the only witnesses to their battle for strength, there was nobody to witness Wemmbu's loss, and there was nobocy to witness Flames victory

only theyve been there for that battle and there was nobody to announce the winner and nobody to announce the 2nd place.

both of their endings were also incredibly different, Wemm's showing just them standing silently after their totem popped for the 3rd time and they lost, and Flame immediately cutting to them both walking out and arguing. Flame at the very end mentioned how he won but knew that wasnt the end, and Wemm's ending just showed the outside of the arena with music. Kind of a melancholic version of their theme.

i feel like that emptiness showed the fact that nobody really cared about which one of them was the strongest, that they were the only two that cared, because in the end no matter who had that title– people arent going to believe it anyway. players always doubting both of their strengths, always mocking them for being weak. it never mattered to anybody about who the strongest is, especially if the two options are those two. and they both put themselves through all of that because they tunnel visioned on other peoples opinions, never seeing the fact that nothing wouldve changed in the end.

and when Wemmbu won people didnt see that as a victory for them but an opportunity to put down Flame, and even though he won that title back it wouldnt matter to anybody anyway.

in the end it feels like they both realized that, in a way. mostly Wemm, i think only recently Flame started realizing that too. and just having an entirely different realization aswell.

Sometimes I feel like im still at that goddamn tree. And like.

the Mane and Wemm falling out was definitely Manes fault. I love him dearly but if he didn't get them involved in hunting down a diamond trim, and then later get himself involved, the whole bit at the end wouldnt have happened...

when Wemm came down at Flame with the mace everything was over before it even began. sure, that diamond trim specifically being him was a coincidence, but if they hadnt gone after any diamond trim there wouldnt really be a chance of accidentally stumbling upon him

and then once Wemm came back and told Mane abt that, and he connected the dots that the player with no mace was Flame, he got himself involved.

going to hunt down his brother, and then maybe they discussed an ultimatum type thing? either he gives over the mace or something happens to Egg

I do think he actually cared about Egg and Wemm in that situation, worried about their well beings, but Wemm is stubborn and he knew that. maybe he figured that part of them is unchangeable.

and I feel like in the end Flame kind of expected Wemm to show up. knowing how theyre like

by a bunch of unexpected circumstances, and things that couldnt have gone differently

i think Flame is someone whos actually normal. In the sense that he goes (tries) to sleep at a normal hour, wakes up early, actually feeds himself properly unlike somebody (Wemmbu) and has a day to day routine.

Like this dude wakes up early in the morning, makes himself food, makes Ashen food, and goes to do productive shit he had planned beforehand. Runs errands like a normal person would. I feel like thats rare in the PVPer space.

To me, most PVPers on the server live by surviving, rarely make proper bases that theyre planning on staying in long-term, rarely feed themselves something other than gaps or golden carrots, rarely manage to sleep early and always wake themselves up after like 3 hours of sleep.

Wemm is the most like that, them having way too many expiriences that made them turn out this way. Whenever they get the chance to— they probably sleep until like fucking 4pm on a monday. They do not live normally.

Flame used to not live by routine either, mostly in his earlier days, learning to keep one after joining the PZE. And after his mafia days he wanted to keep having a routine to have some sort of normalcy in his life. And now in the current times of LAW rule he definitely doesn't have that anymore.

Another crumb of normalcy being swept from him, breaking down the identity he built for himself, breaking down the person he swore to be.

Survival isnt a thing thats easy to get out of, even when everything is finally over going back to normalcy is tough. Thats why everybody always hangs on every scrap and piece of it that they have. And it doesn't always work out.

And sometimes, it makes things even worse than before.

Flame struggles letting go of things, whether it be something like the identity the server gave him, a goal or a person, he's not going to just let those things slip away from him. Hes stubborn. And it never leads him anywhere, because some things need to be set free, given up on. I think him gripping onto that immortal, strongest, tough title is messing him up beyond fixing.

I think his case of being called a "lost cause" was incredibly different than Wemm's. They both meant "you can never get better" but to Flame it was that he can never get better as a person, never get better mentally. Lomedy tried fixing him but you cant always fix everything. And I think thats both due to his stubbornness but also due to the fact that he was doomed to turn out this way from the start, doomed by the people arround him, doomed by the way he is.

I wish people saw that part of him more, every single fucking time theres ever anything about him anywhere it's never in a serious way. People put him in the same boat they put Spoke in, never to be taken seriously, never to be looked deeper into. When he got called a lost cause people only used that as joking material, and to bring Wemmbu into it and proceed to make it about them instead of Flame. (before anybody says anythjng abt me doing that.. im just usinf them as a comparison, not a replacement)

I think all he yearns for in life is a sense of normalcy, for people to see him as more than a killer and a monster. I dont think he ever wanted to become this way, because yeah, he does like to fight. He wont hesitate to kill. But that doesn't necessarily mean he always wants to and has always wanted to.

His character is way more sad than people make him out to be. And the next time i hear somebody make a bro joke im putting my arm through the screen and strangling them

2 v 1000 is still brought up a lot (by me aswell. and thats not a bad thing it was a cool episode)(im contributing like 50 billion posts to the overall amount of mentions so like. yeah)

And never for a single second have i thought Flame starting that fight was betrayal and i never will, no amount of arguments could change my mind (you can still try of course. id love to see peoples reasonings as to why it was betrayal cause so far i havent seen any)

eitherway, let me make my point

Wemmbu was aware of the fact that sooner or later after the big fight, Flame would want the rematch.

They saw just how dedicated, borderline obsessed, he was with getting it

And the two kept having the strength discussion.

No room for any doubts, I dont think

There was no amount of trust in that little alliance of theirs, sure they went places together, they stayed a few days together and got items together but that was an unavoidable necessity. They had to be together, they had to compile their shit together, and they had to stick around for even after that.

And you could say, like many people on tik tok like to insist that "Wemmbu had their back turned to Flame because they trusted him" but I think thats just angst farming, sorry. But I do doubt they expected Flame to attack them after they just had their asses almost beat, with barely anymore items to their names, and a whole lot of time and energy wasted on dropping a thousand fucking people.

Eithrway, that wasn't 'trust' that was speculation, maybe hope.

And sure, maybe they had some sort of hope that the rematch wouldnt happen at all, but they definitely didnt expect it not to happen. Because they know their rival, and they knew how he acted beforehand.

For a betrayal to happen, at least one party has to have trust in the other. For a betrayal to happen, it has to break that trust and is meant to hurt on a psychological and optionally physical level. And the fact they were gonna rematch was agreed upon

Besides, tho at the time where people spammed that bullshit everywhere it wasnt known, both the players started considering each other friends afterwards.

So no psychological hurt was done, and it wasnt out of malice anyway.

the apologist in my bio is very much ironic but lowkey with how much i talk about Flame im afraid people might take it seriously

i do not apologize for his actions i do not try to justify them i do not put him over the other characters. i recognize the things hes done and the things he hasnt done.

that is the big difference i think. people tend to blame him for things he hasnt even done. people tend to throw things at him, say he's committed actions he hasn't committed, or they throw up their little reasons that just arent nowhere near correct.

the tragic thing in this fandom is that everybody acts just like the players on the smp and i mean it in the most harsh and negative way possible. blindsided by their own favoritism, misinterpretation and falling for all of the protagonists facades.

as much as i say hes "just a puppy" and "god forbid a girl has hobbies " about him its all ironic. he is neither a saint nor a villain. he is a victim to the server just as much as the other protagonists are and i wish people recognized that more. both statements that "hes done bad things" and "he isnt a bad person" can coexist and its literally been a reoccurring thing in not just his pov and not just about him

all the things hes done and given up for his loved ones just for them to spit in his face. all the things hes done to try and desperately rpove himself as capable, that he really is who he says he is. struggling through the fact that people view him as this terrible villain, the same people that conditioned him to be this way.

he is not innocent, no, but he shouldnt be treated the way he is. by the playerbase, by the fandom, by everybody.

this is a much much less lighthearted rant than anything else i put out, this is a very hate fueled rant actually. unstable universe has made itself clear about being a series that needs more than two seconds of thought to be understood at least a little bit, the themes of morally grey, not everything being black and white, unreliable narrators and characters putting up facades have been here all throughout. two years of runtime by the way. and there are still so many people who so badly misinterpreted things. i get that this is unfortunately what being part of a fandom is like, but i think it shouldn't be normalized that people speak on stories without understanding those stories.

its wild to see there are people who are just now coming to realize that he cares about others, that his actions arent fueled by malicious intent, that hes actually a person too
