Snow White (2025), dir. Marc Webb
So recently I watched Snow White and the Huntsman with Kristen Steward and Chris Hemsworth and of course as a Thor fan I couldn’t help but notice some similarities between this movie dynamic between Snow White and Eric the Huntsman and in the Thor comics, the dynamic between Thor Odinson and Jane Foster.
The first similarity that I noticed was how in both Snow White and this comic, when both Snow and Jane supposedly “died” Eric and Thor are both faced with grief that soon turns to growing rage as they realize one of the last people who could ever make them happy are gone. So they turn to healers in their area and plead with all of their breath to save them. However, as they know, it is beyond their power to do so.
After both Eric and Thor realize that all hope is lost in saving their loved ones, they both give in to their love for Snow and Jane and unknowingly that love ends up returning the life of both Snow and Jane.
Also what I noticed is that both Jane and Snow White help inspire the people in their story by reminding them that they need to fight for what is right against great wickedness and that they will both die fighting for the greater good for the people they love. This of course causes the people as well as our characters Thor and Eric to stand by them and help them defeat the evil.
And during this battle between good and evil, Jane and Snow remind the antagonist of their story that love and peace will always win and how it will always be victorious over hate and corruption.
Finally when our two characters reunite, both Jane and Snow transform into roles that end up suiting them well, Jane becomes the last of the Valkyries and serves the dead, while Snow, in order to defeat the evil queen and to complete her destiny as queen wears knight armor to protect herself from the evil queen. Seeing them both in these roles, both Thor and Eric, enchanted by them both and how much they pursued their lives, mention how their roles and outfits are a fit to them in an adorable yet awkward manner.
+Honorable Mention!!!
When Jane and Snow White are dealing with a conflicting issue, both Thor and Eric comfort them by promising them, with the same wording, about fixing the situation and protecting them. Notice how both Thor and Eric maintain eye contact with both Jane and Snow in their height level as well as gently touching their shoulder/hair, showing respect towards them, and protectiveness of them both.

Anyway these are just some thoughts I had while watching this movie. I greatly enjoyed it. Such great acting chemistry with Kristen Stewart and Chris Hensworth. As well as wonderful set and music done with this movie. I would definitely recommend watching this movie if you are into fantasy movies!

I assure you, your daughter couldn’t be in better hands. That’s exactly what worries me, especially now that you have two of them.
