Day 4 was another skill-building day--working on the same skills they chose for themselves two days prior. This means that the girls were spending their whole day at the house.
Izzy made a surprise visit that morning to reward the winner of yesterday's challenge. The winner of the Retail Therapy challenge was granted a hand-knitted sweater off of Plopsy, and Izzy was here to deliver that promise!
Kita's everyday outfit sold first during the challenge!
While Kita was receiving her reward, the other girls ate their breakfast.
Gena and Reyna focused on their skills: archaeology and comedy respectively.
Amber also studied her comedy skills, just upstairs away from everyone else.
Louise took the time to film a confessional answering questions about fashion in the modeling world.
Can you tell that Gena's walkstyle is the creepy (vampiric) one? Despite her walkstyle being the literal worst, she impressed the judges so much that it didn't tank her chance at entering the competition (surprisingly).
Elise and Amber shared some jokes once they finished working on their skills for the day.
It was soon time to open the retail store with everyone's outfits for sale!
The outfit that sells first gives the winning stylist a knitted sweater off of Plopsy to keep in their inventory as well as two (2) additional photos during their photoshoot later in the week. The rank of the remaining stylists is determined by purchase order, leaving the final outfit to sell at the bottom this week.
It was now time to discuss the bottom two girls of the week. Sophie passionately explained how she understood that it was the first week of this competition, and that it all may be new territory for them. But this is a serious business, and that they must take each element of this show just as serious if they wish to become a well-respected and well-known model in the industry.
In the bottom two this week were Amber and Louise, both with the only scores below 100 points.
And so, the contestant NOT eliminated this week was...
The judges had finished their deliberation. With the girls standing back on their stage, Sophie began to call them forward in order from best photo of the week to the bottom two.
Sophie explained how, despite their place in this week challenge and her score for her photo, this contestant had impressed the judges the most overall this week and, therefore, won the first week of SNTM.
Here's the breakdown of the winning contestant's score for the week:
The contestants were gathered in the Judge’s Room for the judging panel and subsequent elimination. The girls stood on a small stage while one of them was called to the front. The judges, Sophie Couture, Babbette Couture, Izzy Fabulous, and Pootie Fads began to judge each contestant.
The best photo from their photoshoot was displayed on the wall. The photo’s qualities were now scored (just like in the audition), and the judges questioned the contestant (again like the audition). Relationships between the judges and each contestant were rescored. The girls were then removed from the room while the judges deliberated.
The panel is ready to assess the girls' performances from the week.
And in the order they were called forward:
Hilda, posing in the hot weather outfit styled by Gena; her photo was pretty average
Kita, posing in the formal outfit styled by Louise; her photo was also average despite having three chances to do better
Elise, posing in the party outfit styled by Amber; her photo was good!
Gena, posing in the sleep outfit styled by Asa; her photo was decent
Reyna, posing in the party outfit styled by Elise; her photo was good!
Louise, posing in the formal outfit styled by Hilda; her photo was fine 🤷
Amber, posing in the party outfit styled by Reyna; her photo was also fine
Asa, posing in the everyday outfit styled by Kita; her photo was ideal!
Day 5 of the week is Photoshoot Day! The theme of the photoshoot:
BE FADULOUS
Fads, the photographer, had the contestants change into the outfits their stylists curated for them during the challenge. Posing in the sets Fads designed for this challenge, each contestant had to showcase their stylists’ fashion efforts as perfect as possible.
Each contestant receives a number of photos to choose from based on their skill levels related to this week’s challenge as well as any awarded for winning the challenge. For example, this week's skill focus was logic/entrepreneurship. (So if the contestant has level 2 logic, no entrepreneur skill, and did not win the challenge, they only have two (2) chances at getting a decent photo during the photoshoot. If the contestant has level 3 logic, level 2 entrepreneur skill, and did win the challenge, they have three (3) chances (due to the higher skill being logic) as well as the additional two (2) they won from the challenge, for a total of five (5) photos.) The photos are scored after the photoshoot based on the performance of the model.
positive emotion, attractive pose = +5; this is ideal.
positive emotion, neutral pose = +3; this is good.
positive emotion, unflattering pose = +2; this is decent.
neutral emotion, attractive pose = +1; this is fine.
neutral emotion, neutral pose = 0; this is basic/average.
neutral emotion, unflattering pose = -1; this is bad.
negative emotion, attractive pose = -2; this is poor.
negative emotion, neutral pose = -3; this is unfortunate.
negative emotion, unflattering pose = -4; this is a terrible choice.
So this is where I realized I messed up a bit 😅. After about the third or fourth photoshoot finished, I realized that I hadn't taken any photos of my own to show here outside of the game lol. So you'll just have to deal with these screenshots of the photos on the wall... Just pretend they're wayy better quality than this.
