Um, I'm currently writing a fanfic, and I was wondering if you could help me with a scene? So, in this au, Kasamatsu's parents died- and I was wondering what offensive things could be said during a funeral that would make him angry. I am truly sorry if this ask makes you feel uncomfortable, please feel free to ignore. :) Love you kisekasa fanfics a lot!
I feel no need to ignore you! This is just very heavy because I don’t know the right answer to your question.
That being said, for Kasamatsu’s character, I see the phrase “At least it wasn’t you/At least you’re still alive, though,” as something offensive to him. He understands people are different, and that different people deserve different forms of respect, but he still sees people being alive as something important and precious.
Whoever said it may have meant well, may have meant to be happy Kasamatsu is alive and respects Kasamatsu’s life (or it could be said rude and sarcastically to make it more offensive -- I don’t know full context), but Kasamatsu, in a solemn grief leading to snapping anger, interprets the words as mocking to his parents’ lives.
I don’t know if you want implied offensive or genuine “Good riddance” snide comments to make him mad. There’s also “Damn, and the guy never did pay off the loan I gave him!” to set Kasamatsu off. I really like the well-meant words causing Kasamatsu to get angry, though, especially to show him as vulnerable and confused and grieving to the point of being unable to sit back and handle even the smallest dismissals of the important of his parents’ lives.
(Also, why must you hurt the bae like this? He’s done nothing to deserve it!)
