had my last class of undergrad ever!!
three hours of listening to each other's compositions, the culmination of all the work we've done across the semester. hearing everyone's responses to my piece was so gratifying; i'm so grateful for the generosity & receptivity of my peers. prof d brought two bottles of prosecco to celebrate the end of our course &, later, she joined us outside, where she smoked a cig with m & m in the late afternoon sunshine.
ended on the perfect note <3
i used to think that furuya might be the kind of awful boss who'd be unwilling to let go of kazami the more kazami excels. for this reason, i was especially taken by oono-san's doujin where furuya asks kazami to get promoted so that he can continue to investigate more easily in middle-age (using the umbrella of kazami's authority). I thought that was a beautiful twist, in-character too, but when it came to canon, i still felt a bit worried that furuya might be the kind of boss who "discourages" or is apathetic to kazami's career progression. but now, i m starting to think that there might be a day when it's furuya who thinks first "it's time to let you go" and agrees with higher ups to get kazami promoted; and that it's kazami who says "no, no, please let me stay. somehow. let me stay in your life"
if you want to break me it’s easy just play Blood Oath by Benjamin Wallfisch
