thinking about how Iker and Cris probably view each other as the golden child without realizing how the other actually feels...

iker and amaia’s mother have so much in common because like miren, iker puts all his effort into shaping cristian into everything he once was as an athlete, simultaneously pressuring him to be perfect while also resenting him for any success he achieves or the notion that cristian may one say be Better than iker himself was at his prime. he’s constantly reminding cristian of his shortcomings and reinforcing the idea that cristian would have never gotten anywhere without him as well as isolating cristian from the other people who he cares about. he also loves to do this thing where he belittles cristian to get in his head and then “comforts” him as if he wasn’t the one to get him worked up to begin with. imo their dynamic goes beyond a simple sibling rivalry because frankly iker should have grown tf out of his resentment. he’s too old to be acting that way!
