Sometimes I just wanna cry because everyone in power is fucking destroying the world and I can’t do anything about it, and people are always talking about how gen z is going to save the world, but all around me I see kids buying into the shit the right is telling us and not thinking critically enough about everything but then I think about how fucked up it is that we’re just fucking KIDS and we’re being forced to consider and think critically and face the fact the the people in power we’re supposed to trust to have everything under control and to keep us safe don’t actually give a shit about anything but money and we shouldn’t have to do that! Of course some kids are going to blindly trust authority. We shouldn’t have to question this shit at every turn. We shouldn’t have to sit here and watch the world catch fire around us with pressures from school and parents and the stress of working so hard to get into a college that we’ll never be able to afford to get a degree that we’ll never use to get a job that won’t pay us enough to live. We should be allowed to be kids and learn and grow and develop into well rounded adults without having to try and keep the goddamn government in check. The first greatest generation was the one that lived through the great depression and fought in WWII. We should be called the second greatest generation since we have to live through the end of the fucking world.
