(An assumption!) Raz prefers having music on while doing tasks rather than silence. Some sort of sound going on doing most things at all like walking and cleaning.

Before Heartbreak Raz would listen to music a lot more often! Sensory wise he percieves his telepathy as very similar to sound, and back in his vigilante days he would use music as a sort of supplemental wall when his telepathic shields were shaky, as well as just loving it. No genre barriers either, pretty sure he would have been banned from aux cord access on roadtrips after Awolnation's Sail slammed in right after La Bohème, Act I: Che gelida manina. (my dad ran the playlist on today's alpaca relocation journey, this one two punch was a thing of beauty)
Raz definitely still enjoys music, but not as background noise anymore. He doesnt do particularly great with background noise in general (white noise machines, etc) cause on a bad day it can make him feel more disconnected and dissociative. The second stay at the farm really did a number on him, he's got a lot of unreality issues now, and even though his telepathic shields are pretty solid at this point he can have difficulty figuring out what he's hearing externally and what he's hearing telepathically. Background noise can exacerbate that issue sometimes.

Little story below:
Both lived on the streets near the mountain of Ebott. Unfortunately for Plug, some rich kids started to bully him, calling him stupid and a low-quality monster. He told his brother, or more like ranted about them to his brother. The next day, Pit gave him one of the popular Rubik's Cubes that those rich kids liked to solve as fast as possible and brag about it. Plug knew immediately from where Pit "borrowed" this cube, but still accepted it. It's from his great brother after all! The next few weeks, Plug learned how to solve it and trained himself to break any time records those kids made.
