I stopped posting “Why Not?” comics because I just didn’t have the time anymore. At that moment my mind was completely elsewhere and I decided I had to sort out my personal life and business before coming back.
Please don’t worry about my mental health. I’m doing great, but I’d probably burn out if I tried to do all the things at once!
Anyway, I did it! I opened my own tattoo studio in 2019! It was a lot of work but the word about my tattoos got around fast and somehow I became the best rated and most wanted tattooer in my little town.
After that, when 2020 happened I had enough time to graduate my university (I finished my uni program 3 or 4 years prior but was too busy to graduate). I used the “Why Not?” series to make a thesis project on webcomics. The professors loved it and I got 10s across the board, yay!
This was the comic I did for my thesis presentation, it said “thesis presentation: expectations vs. reality.”
Also, Nika and I got engaged!
The rest of 2020 was pretty bland. My studio had to be closed for more than 6 months due to health regulations so I had plenty of time to improve my drawing.
Dora is also doing great! We finished a basic obedience program so our communication is even better!
Since my life is not as overwhelming anymore I decided it was time to get back to drawing comics.
You know, because why not?
This time around the content would be a bit more tattoo-focused since that’s mostly what my life is about now. I’d still post other sketches on Tumblr and if you want me to, even drawing tutorials or some of my tattoos. What do you think?
